Glorymourn chapter 6 . 6/28/2014 Fabulous! Thank you - G |
Eiladwyn chapter 3 . 12/18/2013 Your dialogue and characterisation is lovely ) I especially appreciate the n-universe vocabulary. |
Aeryn Lavanthia chapter 6 . 11/7/2012 And I finish another one of your fantastic stories, utterly immersed in your wonderful way of writing. Beautifully woven together, I adore the Watson and Sherlock that you depict and am always left wanting more. |
Alamo Girl chapter 6 . 4/20/2012 This is so brilliant. Utterly perfect 19th century prose and so spot on for Holmes and Watson. I especially love the cutting wound that was Watson's words on Holmes' clockwork heart, when he alone knows that most likely isn't true. Still, it is always fascinating for me to read of Holmes' reaction to such barbs and your description was beyond perfect. Bravo! |
BakerStreetIsLastRefugeOfHope chapter 6 . 12/17/2011 So typical of Holmes to try to smoke after he's been hurt. |
BakerStreetIsLastRefugeOfHope chapter 5 . 12/17/2011 Hang in there, Holmes. |
BakerStreetIsLastRefugeOfHope chapter 4 . 12/17/2011 Getting a little snippy, Watson? |
BakerStreetIsLastRefugeOfHope chapter 3 . 12/17/2011 Ouch. Holmes is having a bad day. |
BakerStreetIsLastRefugeOfHope chapter 2 . 12/17/2011 Great interpretation of Holmes and Watson's first meeting. |
BakerStreetIsLastRefugeOfHope chapter 1 . 12/17/2011 Aww, poor Mrs. Hudson. |
Dabuge chapter 6 . 6/19/2011 I've been meaning to read this for some time, but only got around to it... Anyway, I fear I'm just repeating myself by now, but this is really stellar work. You have a knack for writing repartee that is both amusing and in-character — this repartee, of course, being so crucial to the Holmes/Watson dynamic. The characterization is wonderfully accurate, especially Holmes struggling to maintain a façade of indifference that he knows is vital to his reputation, yet which alienates him from Watson. The intermittent geographic detail (I found Holmes' distaste for Baker Street particularly interesting) is great, too. And of course I must mention the 15 questions in ch. 2, probably my favorite bit of the whole story. Just genius! |
Ghost of the Crescent Moon chapter 6 . 8/14/2010 Excellent story :D |
StillWaters1 chapter 6 . 5/16/2010 WOW. Your command of the language and banter is stunning. Well done! |
Original-Elfkin chapter 6 . 4/7/2010 wow! Your vernacular was spot on! I was pleased to see a firm, no expert grasp of Language in this work-even giving the "unfortunates" proper naming. You certainly know your stuff. And can spin an intriguing tale as well! I loved Watson's frustrated admiration and worry. I loved Holmes' oblique sensitivity and almost manic genius. This was SO well done. |
Feeble Pen chapter 6 . 3/31/2010 I wished it wouldn't. I could keep reading this forever. please write more. Much more. Love the writing style. |
