I know it's probably been forever since ya had a review for this story, but I just finished reading it and I just had to say how amazing it was.

I came across this story after reading a couple of Calvin and Hobbes comics and I've always liked the idea of Calvin and Susie getting together because lets be honest, Susie is the only person Calvin would actually develop a crush on as he gets older even if he wouldn't admit it when he was six. And despite how less humorous it was compared to it's comic book predecessor, I couldn't stop reading it, I've read it twice now and the first time I was reading it at work in between breaks and didn't pay attention to anyone, that's how good this story was. Reading it again was just as good, there was so much passion, silliness and, to my surprise, so dark that I couldn't help but cling on to every word. I'm kinda sad that this tale has met its end but in my opinion, this story, despite a few minor plot holes, has fit perfectly in the Calvin and Hobbes timeline. I've read a bunch of other Calvin and Susie fanfictions and this one is by far my favourite and one I'll never forget.

I thought I'd drop a quick comment here to see if you ever check this old piece of fiction you wrote. I still think I should have left that piece about the bunny suit in your Naruto story to see if you would have posted it without noticing. At the very least it would have messed with the heads of your readers.

Great story, but one thing:

Don't you think Hobbes should show at least SOME hatred to Susie? For example,if I were Hobbes and locked up and chained in a closet for a decade I wouldn't "forgive and forget". Remember even though Hobbes thinks Susie is "cute" He isnt OBBESED with her. If that was the case he would be begging Calvin to see her and would have shown a more drastic reaction when he was invited to get birthday party.

Other than that, great story. You gave a valid reason for Calvin to change.(As school hating as he his in the comics I personally think losing Hobbes would make him change.) One thing, when Susie summarized the events after Calvin lost Hobbes she should have included Calvin SEARCHING for Hobbes. In the comics, when Calvin lost Hobbes he spent some time searching for him.

Sorry if I'm being overly critical. You captured their personalities well and nice job.
