This made me feel very sad, but it was so well-written

My parents came from Haiti but I never really acknowledged that I myself was Haitian because my personality compares more with America :P

The history bits were flawless and I think you described Haiti in a very accurate way :D

Wow...so heartwreching. Much better than my Trembing Earth fanficiton. This taught me some things I haven't even known about my own country. Haiti owned panama? never knew that.
