Reviews for And the Four Tear Us Asunder
Starlight77 chapter 1 . 3/2/2010
Poetic and brilliant and totaly sad but then totally hopeful.

AH! Okay, I love love love the progression in this from the "breaking of their possiblities" to her having them once more. But then there are the things that stay the same, him still being the wiser of the two and her still telling him four words which are the truth.

And boy, you are so good with your ending lines for the various sections. They are killer, gut-wrenching, professing statements true and unavoidable. "He can't be saved" is probably my favorite because it's Olivia's job to save others but the oner person she loves the most, she can't even do that for him.

I really enjoyed the part about how it seemed he was amplifying his glimmer, keeping her from seeing him. The separation between them throughout this was so real and palpable. It hurt to see how much it pained her that he was confiding in someone else besides her. And you could just feel her regret in "The last moment she'd owned before the ability robbed her was one she gave up for duty."

Once again, too, I love the imagery you evoke with your words. The ending with the verbal flames and them bleeding together before they come together once more, two different dimensions touching, crossing, colliding.

Beautiful fic. Thanks for sharing!

Excuse me asking silly questions again and again, but does the "glimmer" you mention have a special meaning I havent grasped yet? -.-

Im definitely looking foreward to be able to see this episode which made you write such amazing stories!

Reading your fan fictions really is fun. I love your way of writing! This time, I like the last part most, when they finally confront each other in the empty lab... The way you use indirect speech makes me feel like Im watching an old movie without spoken voices but I know what the actors say by heart. Which is great, because it seems like the single sentence Liv finally has has the greatest impact of all, as well as all the things which follow this sentence...

My "horizon" is quite filled with ideas, thanks for asking! Im glad your is, too. I always love to read your stories!

Excellent!
Berrica chapter 1 . 2/15/2010
So is the other woman Astrid, then? I have to admit, that pairing never really occurred to me, but maybe I'm just too blinded by my P/O visions. ) I'm glad this turned into a happy fic, I wasn't sure it would for a while there. Very well done, as always!
Alamo Girl chapter 1 . 2/15/2010
Hate you. Really. Hate your awesome.

I always wondered if Peter's "glimmer" would drive Liv away from him...musing that maybe this is one more rug yanked out from under him that she doesn't need. So she pushes him away, subtly.

Maybe that's my weird mind working over time.

LOVE this, btw. Even though I still hate your awesome.

MadeOfStars chapter 1 . 2/15/2010
Intense and sad. Quite touching and stark, even though it ends well it is haunting and the hurt lingers. Great job setting the emotional tone here.
Beaglicious chapter 1 . 2/14/2010

Skate-815 chapter 1 . 2/14/2010
This was breaking my shippy heart right up until the second last section. This is one of the most believable versions of post-Jacksonville I've read, I think, because the truth will tear them apart for a long while.

the whole thing was entirely perfect, and I love the image of her 'correcting the tense' as you put it, because I'm sure the idea of her falling out of love with him probably would kill him

This is just heavenly. Your words are poetry. Absolutely breathtaking.
