Ellie12 chapter 8 . 5/1/2011 This was such a sweet look at what could have been with Olivia and Peter post-Jacksonville. I enjoyed reading it very much! |
Culuyetille chapter 8 . 7/26/2010 I've read this in one seat and must've copied 3 or 4 sets of quotes to go with my bookmarking system. This story is truly wonderful. You've captured their voices perfectly (Peter and Olivia, of course, but also Walter and Astrid). And you've dealt with Walter in such an interesting way: yes, he did horrible things, but he's also acknowledged as much by having parts of his brain removed, so it's hard to decide how to feel about him. I love how you had Olivia be the one to reach for Peter and be more open about how she feels - it was very believable, if nothing else because she constantly does that for victim families in her cases, so she could gather the courage to do so for Peter because she felt he'd need it, need her. Thank you for writing and sharing this :) |
TML9115 chapter 4 . 4/11/2010 ah stay peter stay... no he has to be a gentlemen... my fav't line in the story..."So an FBI agent, a consultant and a cow walk into a bar…" i was actually laughing and you didn't even have to finish the joke... |
TML9115 chapter 2 . 4/11/2010 i really enjoy how you write the characters... very different... again great story so far... |
TML9115 chapter 1 . 4/11/2010 this is excellent...cant wait to see where you take it... |
Starlight77 chapter 8 . 3/16/2010 Hehehe, I love that Peter noticed that the only really difference in Olivia's behavior was that she was actually being flirty towards him. Too cute. :) I'm really glad she showed him the case file, that she understood it was important for him to have all the facts. I like the torment you described that was eating him up as he talked to Walter. Not wanting to hear him call him son but at the same time yearning for it. I like what you put too about how he felt oddly unbalanced at the moment he realized that growing up in that other world might not have been much better. And hahaha, Walter getting excited about the prospect of going back & changing things is SO him. It added a bit of lightheartedness. It was nice. But anyways, I like how you led up to Peter's realization at the end there...this didn't change anything. I think it was an important point to make to distinguish between the Walter who had taken him from the other world & the Walter now. Because Peter's right, the Walter who needs to apologize to him isn't here anymore, the Walter now is barely lucid at the best of times. Walter is already a broken man who has lost so much. Peter has paid the price for what Walter has done but I think Peter will come to see how much his father has paid too, is still paying. And there's a case & Peter is on board, yes! This is a fantastic story. I've really enjoyed & I look forward to your casefic! |
Mochi-girl chapter 8 . 3/15/2010 Oh! Can't wait for the case fic. Another thoughtfully written chapter. You've painted such a wonderful picture of Olivia and Peter both so damaged, but there for each other. And, poor Walter too. |
wjobsessed chapter 1 . 3/15/2010 "She saved Walter for Peter, for the sound of the plea in his voice." Thank you! Finally, somebody has worded the truth succinctly. |
Skate-815 chapter 8 . 3/15/2010 So is this it finished then? Because you haven't marked it as complete. And unless I'm mistaken, you never really got them to the kissing stage, did you? Or maybe you did and I've just forgotten :s Regardless, I've loved following this fic from the very beginning and just watching your take on how post Jacksonville will unfold. And I appreciate that you made it about Walter as well as just Bolivia. I'll most certainly be following you onto your case fic. I'll hopefully see you there ;) |
Icecat 0010 chapter 8 . 3/15/2010 Yay a case! I am looking forward to it! |
Dana Hale chapter 8 . 3/15/2010 I like how you're handling Peter's reaction. Although it seems quite subdued from how I think the show will actually handle it, I find it to be a relief in your story to see him gradually working through all the emotions and not going too bizerk in the process. Looking forward to you building this story further by adding a case. |
ElleThom chapter 8 . 3/15/2010 major love for thhis one, thanks for sharing i loved the gummi bears, so walter and astrid great work cant wait to read the next one |
Skate-815 chapter 7 . 3/13/2010 I've been away, and I've just caught up with your ff. You've done a brilliant job here. I love the way Peter ran, but he still didnt get on the first plane he saw, and instead sat around and waited for Olivia to call him. And i'm glad it's not her that he's annoyed with- that he still wants to sit up late and eat a take out with her, because he still has feelings for her. Anyway, I'm really looking forward to more. |
Starlight77 chapter 7 . 3/11/2010 Aw...Olivia reaching out like she did throughout this whole chapter really is a rarity and I'm glad Peter noticed that. She's making such an effort for him. It's really so sweet. I love how you noted that his drunken state made sorting through all his emotions even harder. You described what he was feeling very well, from him being touched by her concern to hurt by her doubt to turned on by her looking through his underwear. :) This situation, of course, evokes so many emotions but also you showed how Olivia evokes so many differing emotions from him too. I love how he couldn't help but feel comforted rather than angered by her presence when she first came into bar. It's like he can't really control how he feels about her at any given moment, all he knows is that he'll feel something and very strongly too I'm sure. I love that his first question was "Where's Walter?" because when it comes down to it he does love his father. Can't wait to see what happens next. I love seeing patient and uncertain Olivia; it is quite a sight. |
