The first thing I noticed about your story is that you should identify your setting better. It's important for the reader to establish where the story is and that includes the when. You don't give a general time of how long after the final battle it is until later, you don't establish how often Harry has been going to Snape's room until a brief hint much later than it should be, and you jump directly from arriving in Harry's room to being in Snape's room. Your main problem is that you assume that the reader would know something or just forget that they shouldn't. It makes sense in your mind but not necessarily to others who do not have the information that you do (since you're the one writing this). Relating to that, some emotional aspects are left to speculation as well. However, with that, I think it's better that you don't detail everything out. Stories such as these often seem to be unable to be understood by people who just don't understand and explanation would probably cause less ability to accept.

All things said, you have a good story and good plot based on emotions. Keep writing.

Very nice. Love the characterizations. Harry's survivor's guilt and Snape's insistence that Harry will get over it. It's amazing how much information is imparted in such a short fic. I love how just one scene maps out their future in so many ways.

I'm torn about begging for a part 2. I want one because Harry's transformation would be gorgeous to watch, but I think it would be heavy and emotional and probably stay dark for too long for my poor pansy self and I'd want to skip to the fluff at the end. *grin*

Actually instead of a part 2, could I grovel for a side story from Snape's POV? *puppy dog eyes* I would love to hear his rational for helping Harry. Is it just his continuing role as protector, hot sex, budding love or a mix of all these plus something innately Snape-y.

Brilliant! I love this spin on how life would be for Harry after the war ended. His harsh life has left him slightly less than whole and this version seems somewhat more appropriate than the happy ending that we are given at the close of Deathly Hallows - or at least more appropriate for adults at any rate :P I really enjoyed reading this and I love Snape's character and how through his actions he seems to care for Harry a lot more than the Boy who lived might think. I would be very interested to read a sequel to this fic where a couple of years have passed and their relationship has somehow changed and Snape has somehow made Harry feel whole again and vice-versa...just a thought...

I am genuinely surprised that you don't have more reviews for this story, it's just fantastic and usually I'm not overly fond of master/slave fics so that says a lot. I find myself wishing for more chapters.(I'm greedy when I like a story ... I know :)

That was both disturbing and hot. I'm not sure which is the more dominant emotion, but I think that hot is winning out.
