And so Lily is going to dump him, of course-why can't she just say so and let him get over it? Instead she intends to string him along while she tries out others.

Snape needs to find a way to obsess less over Lily than he does; he’s in danger of becoming her doormat, again, while she goes in search of another rich, handsome pureblood. Obviously, she loved James a great deal, could never see any flaws in him, and if Severus ever needed to talk about what happened to him, she would minimize it and dismiss it the way she did in canon.

She’s ever so happy with her fellow Gryffindors, isn’t she?

Snape has a right to swing between anger and devotion. But Lily doesn't know what her own feelings are yet; no doubt she realizes she can keep him dangling forever. He's content with so very little, after all.

OMG! Lily actually apologized...well, for something anyway, even if she wasn't very specific. Her tears still get Snape to be her doormat.

But now he's been friendzoned. Oh, well, he knew this was going to happen. I wonder who she's going to fall in love with this time? Or if James Potter will come back from the dead? We already know that she's fond of rich bullies.

Perhaps Snape has grown powerful and reasonably well off enough to interest her now.

And sadly, Snape is failing to remember the rest of his memories about Lily (especially the part where she didn't care whether he'd been eaten by a werewolf or not).

I'm sure she'll continue to trample him and he'll continue to love her paying any attention to him at all.

I am a little surprised that Harry didn't say anything about the sudden appearance of his mother-you would think that would be on his mind, and that he would ask Snape if he had seen her.

Although Snape's comments on the rug rats were quite a bit more diplomatic than expected-no doubt he realized that Ginny likely still had command of a ferocious Bat-Bogey Hex at need.

Lily, as ever...sigh. Here's hoping that Snape is going to realize that he's outgrown, though I suspect this story is going to be a Sudden Realization of Love or some such (though of course Lily is never going to apologize for taking up with a pack of bullies, Gryffindors never have to say they're sorry, or some such).

Ah. So everyone wants to kiss and makeup. How special. But I suppose if Snape were to stop talking to everyone who’s tried to kill him, he’d have no social life at all. But hey, he’s only going to have nightmares the whole time he’s there.

And let’s not forget, Lily will be gone again at the end of the semester, but Snape will be stuck there in the place where ever so many people tried to kill him, hex him, and so on.

At least Minerva has finally seen how she was manipulated (though one suspects she’s still Portrait! Albus’ hand puppet). At least Snape is free of having to listen to *that* all the time, now he’s no longer Headmaster.

But Snape should never have come back.

Lily *still* doesn't get it, does she? Dumping someone for a rich, handsome pureblood who is also a bully with his darling friends is going to affect them. Plus, Severus tried to tell her the kind of threat he was under-but frankly, without his fellow Junior DEs he might not have survived till the Leaving Feast, since the staff clearly didn't care if he lived or died.

She didn't care that he was almost eaten by a werewolf, and that was before he called her 'mudblood'. Apparently she doesn't recall half-flirting with James while Snape hung upside down half-choking to death on a Scourgify.

So, she feels she should have given him one more chance?

Explain to me why *he* should give her one more chance.

Sigh. Snape is still Lily's doormat, even though she'll be there for only one more term and he'll be left behind as she goes on to some more perfect life.

And of course it's perfectly all right for almost-strangers to go through his personal gear. Snape never has any rights, does he?

I can’t say I blame Snape for reacting the way he did around Lily. He spent a couple of decades being guilted into risking his life for her sake, and now she’s trying it again. Now that she’s alive he has the leisure to recall the many different ways she used to order him around till she moved on to richer pastures, and is highly allergic to it. Especially since she’s going to be gone to Australia, but if he accepted the position, he would still be at Hogwarts for quite a long time after, if not in perpetuity. He wants more than that in his life.

Have Minerva and Flitwick gotten around to apologizing for trying to kill him yet?

Ok, somehow Lily is here. Um...how old is she, and how is she here? She seems to be the same age as Neville et al, and not Snape.

And I've had bad fish, and it actually does react that quickly and that nastily.

However, I suspect Snape will find it's something else.

Well, at least Minerva can't threaten him with Azkaban if he really doesn't want to teach at Hogwarts, though I bet she wished she could.

And Snape, I think, would be happier with no visitors at all. He still has to clean Wormtail's room, after all.

Oh, dear, hope the doxies didn't get into the pizza...

It was funny Severus trying to them how to fly. Lily did pretty well, but she had a head start jumping off the swing and floating when she and Severus were kids. It was funny him trying not to look at Lily as she was jumping, but still sneaking peeks. I'm anxious to see how Lily's birthday party will go. Please update soon!
