ButterflyBroken chapter 1 . 3/3/2011 Awww...Amon is watching Robin. Where that would normally sound creepy, it's really cute. 3 I like how you kept them pretty much in character. I find it weird when Robin acts dead in some fics because people say her character is 'flat'. D: I totally expected Amon to kiss her when he told her to close her eyes to listen better! xD |
LaBatonRouge chapter 1 . 4/20/2010 As a music lover, someone who has sit in the dark for hours at a time, just to listen to one piece, this speaks to me. |
mikako17 chapter 1 . 4/5/2010 Maybe I am just biased because I love stories that involve music, I am a music lover, but I liked how sly Amon was. It was a different side of Amon that may or may not have existed, but maybe it did and he was just never sly about Robin during the Anime. I can see him liking Jazz though. :) |
teenelizabeth chapter 1 . 2/11/2010 "Music allows your emotions to escape and be expressed..." - I *love* this line because it is so wonderfully true, and I absolutely relate to it. There are certain CDs that I can't listen to and appreciate unless I'm laying down somewhere with my eyes closed. I don't think Amon was OOC at all, though I do think there's a whole lot more to him than we ever see in the show, and this piece does a good job of showing that. |
Scherherazade chapter 1 . 2/11/2010 That was a very refreshing one shot. I'll have to try closing my eyes next time I listen to jazz and see what I hear. The very end made me smile. |
Catherine Grissom chapter 1 . 2/11/2010 I think I might have cooed at the end...Either that or there's a very human pigeon around here somewhere. At any rate, I didn't think Amon was ooc. He has to unwind somehow. Jazz at Harry's seems as good a way as any. I love the description of sound here. Music, as is almost cliche, is a language: even if you don't quite understand it, you can feel it. I know that I have some music *cough*Dir en Grey*cough* that alternates between a wall of cacophonous sound and sheer beauty depending on my mood, and you've captured that dichotomy perfectly. I'm gushing, aren't I? Anyway, I love this piece, though I'm guessing you've gathered that. And now I have to go listen to music... |
Timothy chapter 1 . 2/11/2010 I really liked the dialogue you used for Amon. I could hear him dryly saying every word. I hate jazz myself but now that you mention it Amon proboably would be a jazz fan. Definatly not ooc. :) |
