Why was she stitching people? You just had them say there was only one serious injury. There'd be no reason for her to be avoiding treating Rush. Also, a broken jaw does not rate higher than brain surgery. TJ is apparently an idiot.

Why would you think they'd soil themselves when the majority of movie, television show, and literary characters never use the bathroom. In fact they can be locked up for days, be hungry and thirsty, and talk about wanting a shower, but not once need to pee. Even babies rarely need a diaper change. In essence, as far as authors are concerned, bathrooms are rooms where the hero hides (standing on the toilet) or gains access to climb through the ceiling or kids get bullied.

As it is... *curtisies* This is a beautiful, heartbreaking, terrible, cruel, lovely piece. Somehow, it's a fitting tribute to Rush - seeing as he's the reason I ever heard about Stargate.

This story was... exciting, touching, stunning... I don't know which word fits the best to be honest. I loved the growing relationship between Rush and T.j. You really did an excellent job writing Rush's whole being. I never find the words for it.

In all I loved it, absolutely loved it. I was also glad to read that there will be a sequel.(a bit teary-eyed here because of the last chapter. I hate goodbyes.)I hope you'll do something more with Rush and T.j.

Incredibly good story; great developement of the relationship between Rush & T.J. Could have done without all the gory bits, but I suppose they were necessary. Any chance that sequel might still make an appearance?

TJ's reflections are particularly touching. as always, i think u've written her very well. she comes across as such a strong character, yet so caring and kind. that final goodbye was sweet and sad, and i loved the brief glimpse we had of his family. and she was worried there'd be no one there for him! we're so used to him being a loner, that it's a very nice touch.

Nice ending. It's nice that Rush had people to meet him who cared about him.

I guess I'm one of those people though that hope that those on Destiny never make it back to Earth. I find it interesting to think about what people would do if they knew that they could never go back home and had to move on. I'd probably even like it better if they were totally cut off from Earth and didn't have the stones.

It was realistic that they don't know what to do with themselves back on Earth. They'll never have as exciting an adventure as they did on Destiny or likely do anything as important. It will be hard for someone like TJ who had a lot more responsibility than a medic did to go back to being that.

One of my favorite series was one done by the BBC years ago called "Tenko" that dealt with women who were put in internment camps by the Japanese during WWII in Indonesia. The entire time they were imprisoned they dreamed and thought of how things would be when they were freed and went home. However, all were severely disappointed when the time came because life had moved on outside in the world and nothing could ever live up to their dreams and expectations. Plus they had changed themselves and weren’t the same people that they used to be. And going home meant that the people that they had been closest to four 5 years in the camps would be going somewhere else and they wouldn’t be together anymore. They had a character on that show who was a nurse who had functioned for a few years as the camp doctor including doing surgeries. She attempted to go to medical school afterwards but eventually dropped out. It was difficult taking orders and reframing from doing medical procedures from others who had less experience than she did.

A sequel may be hard though with that ending though. I can see Rush and Eli being placed back on Destiny along with possibly Brody and Parks. Scott, James, and Riley could be allowed back but I doubt Greer would be. I can’t see Chloe being allowed to return to Destiny. If TJ returned it would be only as a medic and likely one or more doctors would be on board and she’d just be their assistant. And besides someone the level of a Colonel or above as the commander, they’d most likely have people under them on board with higher ranks than Scott, James, and Riley.

*Sniff* That was wonderful. Maybe a reunion a little down the road?

A sequel would be soooo awesome. I would've commented on the other chapters but I just started reading. I promise to write rave review every chapter for your next story. You're an amazing writer and I can't wait to read the rest of your stuff.
