Reviews for Jim's Secret
Natalie Elizabeth chapter 16 . 11/26/2017
I know this story was published years ago but i still wanted to leave feedback.

Wow this story is amazing. I so loved it. Ive only just discovered the sentinel and am loving the fanfiction but i have to say this is the best concept i have read so far. I was actually sad to see it end.

Great story and writing

thank you
Saissa chapter 16 . 11/13/2017
It's been a few years since I last read this story, this was good. I do agree with Jim that Sentinels should NOT be forced into glass houses and bubble wrap and then protected from the rest of the world. That is NOT the way for anyone, let alone a Sentinel, to live at all.

Connie Crouch chapter 16 . 5/29/2014

I hate to review chapters, as part of what I do as a critic is work out the pace of a story, which is of course impossible when one has only a chapter from which to judge. When I write, I never show it to anyone 'til it's at least fully finished, & likely in its third draft! So, here I am-AGES after your story was finished, critiquing it.

AU stands for Alternate Universe, but to me, it stands equally for gold. An AU yarn is a real treasure, when it's done right, as it takes something familiar, & stands it on its ear, which can render the entire universe fresh, & fun. Jim's Secret did that, & you have my deepest thanks for it!

I've read a lot of TS AU, but yours is the first I've seen with your take on the "dearth" of sentinels-especially since it's the fault of the Guides! Well, the Center, really.

I'd love to see how Jim & Blair handled the growing problem of the Center & its controlling nature, all the while staying secret (how?). Oh, & since you warned us repeatedly of having no-one to beta your work, I hereby volunteer for that task, as some of the typos became annoying. And I KNOW you don't want that! Anyhow, I'll do it foe a single printout of the cleaned-up manuscript. Is that all right?
Static O. Sventura chapter 16 . 2/6/2014
This is an excellent story :D
I really hope that it continues. I'd love to know what happens next.
Seguegrl chapter 16 . 1/27/2014
This was a fabulous story! I definately want to see a follow-up, and watch Jim and Blair try - and, hopefully, succeed- in bucking the system and bringing about change. So by all means: Go For It! I'll be waiting!
Jossi-kun chapter 16 . 7/1/2013
This was definitely an interesting story. :D I've never read one where the sentinel/alpha was the oppressed instead of the guide/omega. :) Extra points for originality. ;)
Lighthouse Hunter chapter 16 . 6/6/2012
I really enjoy Sentinel/Guide stories and I really enjoyed this one. I thought the ending was very exciting wondering whether Jim would get caught our or not. It's an interesting concept you have with the Sentinels being scared to be recognised for who they are and almost scared of the Guides.

I would definitely read a sequel, so I hope you write it soon.
LightOtter chapter 16 . 5/24/2012
This was an excellent story...but why did Jim lie about how the dear doctor died? It isn't illegal to be a Sentinel...yet. Blair was protecting Jim because the Doc attacked him with a taser.

Please hurry and write the rest of the story. You can't leave it right as the doc died. That's cruel to your readers! Please?
NikiGrace chapter 16 . 3/23/2012
Excellent chapter.
Myrna chapter 16 . 3/19/2012
I just finished Jim's Secret and really enjoyed it and would definitely read a sequel. I am glad you are still developing a friendship with the guys and that it will be a learning process for them. I will also be interested in how society will need to be changed on their outlook towards Sentinels and Guides. I never understood why any society would embrace slavery in any form. I have always been interested in Nazi Germany and how the people there went along with Hitler's crazyiness. Either believing him right or too afraid to protest. My family came from Germany and I didn't know enough about what had happened back then to ask them what they thought about what was happening in the old country as they were now Americans. I also didn't know that during that time, American Germans were not thought so highly of and I wish I had been more in tune as to all of it. Anyway I am getting off track of your story, but a society like your story is a scary one. Thanks for your efforts.
rebirthfry chapter 16 . 3/13/2012
