Wonderful. Love the mantra of "what do you want" running through story. It provides a cadence and sets a fast pace for the rest of the fic. The brothers' relationship is incredible and you captured it really well. I especially liked the scene in the hospital at the end. Well done!

I like how Dean got a sudden instinct that he needed to check on Sam rather than to go home with the hot girl. Sam always does want to save people almost as bad as DEan.

Nice how the same question keeps repeating itself and the answer for both of them is the same.

Oh I really enjoyed this blast from the past! Season one is my comfort blanket and I really enjoyed this fic.

The repetition of "What do you want?" and the running theme of deer in the headlights were strong and worked really well for both boys as you alternated the POVs.

I liked seeing Sam play the hero and saving the drunk couple. And Dean sacrificing all kinds of fun in a jet shower with a lovely lady all for his brother - very sweet and such a Dean thing to do. And it just goes to show that sacrifice doesn't always have to be about risking your life for your family.

As always you did a great job with the boys and their introspection. You really dug deep into minds and I like how you had Sam list all the things that didn't make him freeze - including meeting Jess and looking into financing a ring. Nice touches for this season.

Yay! What a wonderful treat! A limp Sammy story. It is so nice to read a good one! You always do such a great job writing these guys! I loved Sammy being the hero saving others and paying the price for it (limp Sam!). Loved big brother, Dean, all worried. I loved reading his thoughts throughout this piece. His having a warm, willing woman in front of him and his thoughts being about Sam and his well being. I love that Dean! I liked the "deer in the headlights" theme throughout. Loved you asking both boys what they wanted. Poor Sam seeing himself as always at fault. Broke my heart. You did a great job with the boys! I miss them like this so much!
