Ohh I really liked the direction you went with this story and really hope you decide to either come back to finish it! I know this was so long ago, but seeing as the game was released and this is now a popular fanfic subject to touch on, it would followed by a whole lot more folks. I read through it and once I reached the end, my heart sank to see how long ago this was updated last. Please please please consider it. There are so many ways to go with it! Your commentary was also really entertaining hahaha!

Hi this is a long ass review. Don't be alarmed. I just have a lot of good feelings attached to this fic you've written and im bursting at the seams.

I was struck by the urge to go back and read FFVII fics. Was hit hard by the nostalgia feelings. I've reread through a lot of the Big Name Fics (lmao) in the fandom but it did not satisfy my craving. For three weeks now I've been searching for this particular fic that I could only remember for how you beautifully wrote the SOLDIER Trial arc. I finally stumbled upon it (after typing several iterations of "ffvii strife soldier test blood skinned rabbits" google was so confused) by scrolling back through my fave fic list. (like what i should have done in the first place. my god its been 6 years since ive logged in here)

And my god. It was such a delight rereading this. It is 5am I have a lecture in 2 hours. I dont care. I mean im still gunna go. When I read the first chapter it jogged my memories of this iS IT THISISIT I FOUND YOU. The whole 6 hours of reading was like a big dopamine hit. This fic by far, is my favorite FFVII fic. I remember sharing this to all my nerd friends in high school. I've forgotten enough of the story's details to be completely enchanted once again 9 years later.

Let me go on and list a couple things that I love. The way you write Cloud. His character study and the duality of his future self and reborn one. The amazing action sequences. My god. Your flow of action is so well done it really does feel like watching a legit FFVII advent children level of animation. The honest and straight style of narration this is written in. The pacing. It feels like we get to share the feelings of triumph and the grief. The relationships. The humanness of the OCs. I really love this fic. So many things make it so good.

I really dont mind that its incomplete. Reading it is a buffet of satisfaction (wtf does that even mean but its true). I feel so happy that I get to experience it again. So you may have moved on and are busy in life I just want you to know that this work that you've put out years ago stood the test of time. It remains a bright spot in my present day.

Okay, imma go and dress up for class now. (college degree waits for no one) I'll be day dreaming of the possibilities of this fic for awhile. (i really like the friendships against destiny route ahaha) Bye!

wow that was tough, i feel for aeris and cloud, this actually gives the whole time travel thing a tragic premise that is usually not found in those fics

This story was rally interesting. I found that your details on sword fighting and and how Cloud would reach for his waist instead of his shoulder for his sword very interesting. I also liked how you portrayed the child Cloud. Another thing that I thought was really interesting was Sephiroth's surprise at not being respected and trusted unquestioningly. It fits kind of with the idea that SOLDIER's obey Sephiroth because of the Jenova cells.

I would be interested in reading more if ever you are interested in updating this story again.

To be honest, I'd rather this be gen since I'm not exactly big on romance stories.

Wow, this is brilliant. Truly one of the best time-travel fics I've read. I like Sephiroth's fascination/frustration with Cloud. I always thought that they would make awesome allies, maybe they could even be friends! That would be cool. I also like how Angeal and Genesis are still there and how Cloud plans on saving them, too, along with Aeris, Sephiroth and Zack. Basically, this is all marvelous, and I look forward to future updates.

Wow. Just wow. I wanted to tell you this was possibly my favorite ffvii fic of all times. I know you haven't updated in years and your page said you're having trouble getting into the swing again but I think this was an amazing fic. I hope that you can continue but even if you can't I want to thank you for sharing with us.

I normally don't review, but this story is definitely one of the most interesting time traveling FF7 fics I've seen. Although it's rather unfortunate that this most likely will not be continued, it would definitely make my day if we got to see more of what happens!
