Oh, this was so sweet/sad/insightful! I like your take on Tabris; it's all too easy to caricature her as a total kickass BAMF, and Adele is rather refreshing! The racial tensions were done quite well.

That was so sad...I felt my eyes water a bit. Everyone writes the warden as a strong character, but the lonely elven girl angle is really touching. It does make a lot sense that Tabris would act in such a manner. I would love to see this continued actually. or at least see more fics of yours. You also caught the other characters perfectly.
