Quite the mixture of dark and sweet. I enjoy the subtle, dark edge that's in the background of the story, you did it perfectly. Great writing. I do have to echo another reviewer though, in what was my only complaint, too; I don't believe "cute" was very fitting. But yeah, I really enjoyed it. :)

I like it, I like it a lot. The sinister tone at the end hit the right note, and left me with such a sense of unease, that I wondered, "If Sherlock Holmes were a criminal, then he would never be caught."

I would like to say you deeply appeased my literary obsession by working Oscar Wilde into this piece. As for the story itself: it is heartbreaking. I love the stream of consciousness style that you used, it really fit with the whole thing. Well done, my friend.

Hmm. Interesting. I'm wondering which work it was that gave Holmes to read? I wonder if Holmes had known about his trials much beforehand and simply wasn't expecting the author to be able to see through him so easily. (Lol or perhaps 'Oscar' had heard of Holmes (and Watson) and already come to his own conclusion? (Such as fangirls are wont to do when given any sort of up-for-interpretation hints. ; ))

I'm particularly fond of the line about Mrs. Hudson immagining what sort of criminal Holmes is after. I doubt she'd suspect it was a sodomite, and for personal reasons, no less. P

Anyway, keep up the interesting work! _

I don't like the word "cute", you come a little too easy around describing that hand and that motion! And it's not very 19th century style, which I think the rest of the piece kept quite well.
