I felt bad for Ezio when his family was murdered as well-though at first I was all 'they can't kill a little kid in a video game...can they?' *dude pulls lever* "HOLY CRAP THEY CAN!" The sadest part about that is if you go back to Ezio's home WAY later in the game and stand in the center-the area goes dark and quiet, and you can see the ghosts of your family.
