At first I thought Hermione and Snape had had an affair, and were trying to hide Rose's paternity, but I see I was a bit off. I can imagine the terror he'd have felt knowing Greyback was after her- I'm of the opinion that his Boggart would take the form of a werewolf, since he was nearly killed by one as a kid.

Good story. It is really in character for Severus to be both terrified of Greyback and sacrifice his happiness in an attempt to protect someone who is dear to him, even to unreasonable standards.
It was indeed made clear in the end. However if it was not a story by you, an author I already knew was good, chances are I would have stopped reading around chapter two.
