I usually really dislike song-ficus, but I really like yours. It sounds oddly poetic, even when you are not quoting the song.
You do overuse some adverbs but Hermione’s emotional reaction was very well done and brought tears to my eyes, despite cliches in both dialogue and description.
You also seem to be allergic to ‘said’, and the use of ‘murmured’ or ‘whispered’ as dialogue tags feels like it is overdone, and I find it distracting.

My favourite story of yours so far.

I think Terry was the perfect character to use for this, though I'm not quite sure why... The unsaid things between Hermione and he had me thinking that she would leave with him - but somehow, when you delivered that twist at the end, that felt right. It was brilliantly done.

The ruthlessness of Hermione felt almost out of character, but coupled with her emotional trauma I think it was understandable. What I loved most of all about the story was its ending... it wasn't happy, and it wasn't what I expected. It offsets reality, and though it's sad I still feel for Hermione and her determination. It's beautiful.

Cool one-shot! I don't think there's another Terry/Hermione story out there quite like this one. The setting was definitely a new twist as well as the characters' roles. I could even feel Terry's anguish as he listed of those who had died.

It's a good enough shot that you could extend it or leave it as is.
