As ever, Larner, your stories are marvelously deep, true and thought provoking! You make me hope to be more like Bilbo, Frodo, Sam and their dearest of friends than anyone portrayed. I hope to try your recipes soon. (I gotten the trick to sauteing mushrooms, though I haven't done the bacon in with them. My mother loves beets, but I don't. I think the recipe here may well convince me otherwise.) Once again, bless you for bringing more to Tolkien's creation in such an honorable fashion.

Wow. That makes a lot of sense, for Gollum to have killed Drogo thinking that he was Bilbo.

It would appear that Mummy has a fair amount of Took Sight as well. I'm glad that she got to 'see' her son all grown up and post-quest before she died. I wonder how well Frodo remembered that last story of hers.

Aw, that's adorable, and a good warning too. I have some mushrooms that are just a little off, but was thinking about them anyways. However, this story has certainly made me rethink THAT idea. :)
