I don't even know if you'll see this, but I recently started watching TOS, (yes, I'm THAT late to this party; I've never watched any Star Trek movies, either,) and of course, had to fall into the fanfiction. Yours is by far my favorite, and this one is probably my favorite (or second favorite; Gifts was lovely,) of all. I just wanted to stop in and tell you how much I love reading your works! It's hard to find in-character fics that aren't ship centric in this fandom, and none of those are for things I ship, but you capture the close platonic relationships onboard the Enterprise really well. The way you write Bones, Kirk, and Spock... This all just makes me so happy. I love this. |

When I found it I remembered exactly why I had enjoyed it and it was wonderful to read it again, section by section throughout the day. Thanks for writing and sharing so the rest of us could enjoy the wonderful friendship you draw between Kirk and Spock. I especially like you show the slow opening up of Spock to Kirk, even though he remains slightly confused and even a little perturbed by the process all along, as I expect he would. |
