This was always one of my favourite scenes from the anime. And it's perfectly written (as all your fics that I've read so far.) I particularly like the last sentence. Distinguishing Light and Kira, that is. Once again, well done.

Seriously, when reading this, I keep catching myself imagining that this truly is how things were seen from L's point of view - this literally is what he was thinking and feeling, it is not just a fanfic. I really, really like your LxLight-stories - especially the more sincere ones (like this one, "Sorry" and "Judgement", for instance). Great stuff! Exactly what holds my sad, little fangirl-heart right in place, unable to move forward, grow up or get over the might-have-been emotions of fictional people from various manga series.

You really, really do a great job of capturing L's emotions and you're uttering amazing at conveying them.
