You're right about the unanswered questions at season 2 finale. But there are lots of those throughout the series. I started to even overlook them.
I don't think Kilgharrah is the last dragon alive. And Aithusa shouldn't be the only dragon egg left. Perhaps, it was meant in all of Albion, not the world.
"...I now raise my glass in honor of all of those who have died." Glass? I don't think they used glasses then as dinnerware. More like goblets of gold, silver and brass.

This is really good, and the way you're writing Merlin handling the guilt is impressive.

The book was a great idea...I like how it got through to Arthur

I liked how Hunith handled everything and gave Merlin such great advice.

Nice closure here, I think Merlin needed that chance to grieve and say good-bye. I guess his magic is like a muscle, you have to use it and push it to strengthen it

Yes! I loved how Merlin defended his choice to mourn Balinor, it was so moving even without mentioning that Balinor was his father

This is one of the best stories I've read so far. Your judging of the characters is great and the story is very well written too...
