That was...different... I don't think I've ever thought of anything from the parents' points of views in Yu-gi-oh (well, they never show up, so there's always that). This was really, really good. Hey, random idea. You should write a fanfic about yourself actually meeting the Yu-Gi-Oh Abridged characters in real life that's technically Fanfiction…almost every Penguins of Madagascar fan has at least tried to do this if they own an account on Fanfiction or Fanpop and I'm just saying that because I read a lot of Penguins of Madagascar Fanfiction…

Another idea! Fanpop! You should go on Fanpop! At least make an account there…it's a place for FanClubs and you can be the master of the ones related to Yu-Gi-Oh?

Oh...wow. This was just...just...amazing. Words cannot describe how I'm feeling.

This was a spectacular story, probably one of the most skillfully written fictions I have come across thus far. You put so much depth into a single one shot, so much raw emotion that it brought tears to my eyes. Everything, from the simple act of sipping a drink to sitting in the sun, was given double meanings that really made me think and feel. More specially; the part where you spoke of the fathers pretenses. That scene really carried a lot of weight and was layered beautifully.

I wish I could give you an honest to god critique and tell you both the pros and cons of what you've written, but the fact of the matter is that there is nothing to be fixed, or even to be improved upon. You're skills as an author far exceed the majority of this site and many a good author. You go into such detail, paint such a vivid picture with so few words, that it pulls the reader in. Honestly, I am surprised that you have not yet had anything published, what with the sheer amount of skill you showed here.

Anywho, spectacular story! I hope to read more of your works in the not so far off future!

Oh my god! This was awesome. I loved the imagery: the glass of cranberry juice, the umbrella...this was really well-written. It has depth to it, and it's vivid. I honestly have nothing negative to say so I can't even give proper, well-rounded criticism.

It seems almost unfair that one so gifted in writing humor should also be talented at such a different genre. I wonder what else you can write? I'll have to go look.

Only you can have me reading (and thoroughly enjoying) Yu-Gi-Oh fanfiction when I've never even seen the source material. I've watched YGOTAS many times though, but I've still never seen one episode of the original Yu Gi Oh. Apparently I don't need the canon to appreciate your characterization, so congrats, because that's pretty badass.

As much as I love YGOTAS, I'd wish you'd return to projects like these, even if it's just a chapter or so now and then, because this actually managed to make me cry which written word never tends to do.
