Once again, a compliment on the way you put on paper the things that the writers who do the scripts, either don't have enough time or desire to include in the weekly episodes. It is quite possible to imagine that something like this would have happened.

I love how you got in her head here. The way you extended the scenes from the episodes are great. The start of Jess and Don's relationship is so cute. I also love the backstory you gave Jess and her brother.

This was really amazing, I loved your take on the whole episode and what happened after. I was always annoyed that the show left that out but this more than makes up for it. Great job!

What I love most about these oneshots people do, is that we get to see how the author sees the situation and they give us a glimpse into what the characters might be feeling.

You have done an EXCELLENT job with Jess, Don, and Sam in here. Even the look into Martinez was cool! What wins my heart in this is that you had Jess see the love Sam has for her brother. Because despite what she may do or feel about herself, Don loves her like she loves him. I love how Jess went to her brother Rob for advice...and Chickpea, WONDERFUL! Heehee. It was a nice brother/sister moment there, nice that we got to see two of them in here.

Favorite lines "She responded tentatively, not entirely certain that she wasn’t imagining the whole thing, as she had so many times before. But there was no way she could be imagining it, not this time. Her entire body seemed to be on fire and she felt herself react to his touch in ways she had never anticipated."

That made me squee, but this one made my eyes tear up. "Sure.” Jess hesitated slightly. “I know it’s not the easiest thing to accept.” She smiled at the look of surprise on his face. “My brother … they’re not signs you forget easy.”

“I just …” Don shook his head. “She’s my baby sister; I can’t get my head round the fact that I can’t fix this for her."

You've done it again! I love this! Once more, the fleshing out of your take on the skeleton of plot we're given in the show is so very believable. It's so much fun to see an explanation of how the two of them came to be in such a meaningful relationship.

I think my favorite part of the story (in addition to the small touches between them at the end. . .can we say HOT?) was the way Jess ran through the different names Flack uses for her and her ability to read the emotions in a situation as a result-what a great way to illustrate the complexity of their connection!
