That was a really interesting story. I'd always wondered about Rock Island ever since I read World War Z and they mentioned it.

Good comment. Sorry about that. HMMWV is the official nomenclature for a Hum-V. It stands for High Mobility Multi-Wheeled Vehicle. I considered either writing an explaination into the story or sustituting Hummer or Hum-V, but I was thinking the letters were close enough for someone to piece it together. Does the british Military use Hum-V's?

Either way, if I can figure out how to edit the stories I'll make the adjustment, I was just assuming everyone would have the frame of referrence.

I could have used a footnote defining HMMWV. Does the American military use the metric system? It would make sense if they did because the rest of the world uses it, but most Americans I know are thrown off by the use of meters.

This was very well written, but I don't think it needs an M rating at this point. There's no questionable content, and you will probably get more readers if it can be displayed in the general WWZ results.
