Am amazed by the grace with which Harry, and to some extent Hermione, accept his loss of magic. Yes, they can both see beyond magic as that was their lives before Hogwarts, but to know something so wondrous and then to sacrifice it is incredible. Thrilled Hermione found him quickly and glad he made it easy.

Interesting twist, if ham-fistedly applied. That would be in keeping with canon, where even a hint of subtlety is absolutely shunned by everyone, including the so-called house of cunning and guile.

Hermione could have made a tiny container just big enough for the scar, knocked out Harry, and jammed it onto his forehead around the scar. In effect, it would be a form of surgery. This would remove the magic from the scar without completely draining Harry.

The premise is interesting, but the characterisation isn't very accurate.

Harry wouldn't need to make a meager living. Even if he has no more magic, he still has the *ENTIRE* Potter and Black fortunes.
