Reviews for Insomnia
LaKRipper chapter 8 . 4/5
This was perfect. I adore your writing stylei could FEEL the muggy heat and sluggish laziness of the weather and how it's impacted jou and kaiba. Genius.
AtemsQueen1 chapter 8 . 4/3
I love the way you write! Amazing story! Very in character for both of them and I loved the realistic relationship. I couldn’t stop reading.
Guest chapter 8 . 3/23
Funny thing, I haven't thought of this fic in a couple years, but having a bout of insomnia, as I sometimes do, it was the first comfort I reached for. 8 years and this is still one of my favorite docs to read. utterly excellent.

This chapter is well made hilarious the backstory of the mini jonouichi’s romance. Though I wonder why the little girl was Korean wouldn’t it be more Profitable for her to learn Chinese instead hongkong China and Taiwan do business with japan a lot.

. It’s cute. Him trying to figure life out . The duty and spirituality as a son and then the introspection.
Ahaha the conversation with Honda.

Lol his conversation with his neighbor.
Suzululu4moe chapter 5 . 1/14/2018

jjisme chapter 8 . 11/23/2017
Wow. You know a fic is *that* good when you mirror the feelings of it's characters. During the first chapters I felt delirious just like Jounouchi. I loved so many things about this fic - the surreal feeling, the slow pace, the weird yet not too weird growing relationship between the boys, Kaiba's crush and him sticking around even though he's not sure he'll get what he wants, and the Japanese culture references - damn! I'm currently majoring in East Asia Studies, so it was nice to stumble upon all of the enriching tidbits. Loved it, I hope you did write a sequel.
Guest chapter 1 . 2/27/2017
I'm so shocked this doesn't have more reviews! This is such an amazing fanfic. It takes away so much of the craziness that many fanfics have and makes it feel so very real. Plus the best part is, Jou and Seto's personalities. It's incredibly hard sometimes to find amazing puppyshipping type fanfics with their personalities down so well! I absolutely love it! Definitely in my top 3 favorite fanfics of all time! I know it's been what? 6 years almost? But I kinda hope you make a sequel! I just enjoyed reading it so much and would love to read more puppyshipping fanfics from you!
Tsuole chapter 8 . 11/29/2015
An absolutely gorgeous fanfiction. I completely support what has been said before me - you have the characters down pat. Rare for a fanfiction, I think you have the comedy and conflict of a relationship between our favourite duo flowing out of your fingertips in a way rarely found in the thousands of fanfiction at our disposal.

I truly felt like you were working with the two sourced characters, not shadows or new personalities with familiar names tacked upon them. A memorable piece indeed.
PuppetPrince chapter 8 . 11/2/2015
:)
Nachzes Black-Rider chapter 8 . 8/24/2015
I love the prose of this story. It's so vivid! The work you put into making Jou sound like Jou & Seto sound like Seto is admirable, as is all the effort you put into looking up the little & large details re: Japanese culture, etc., and integrating them into the story.

I know it's been several years, and the sequel is probably gathering dust on an old USB drive, but if you ever return to fanfiction (and I say this as someone who took over 5 years off myself before I finally came back to writing), I would be honoured to be able to read it. And hopefully there will be a little fluff. ;)
Sage of the Chuchus chapter 1 . 8/18/2015
Wow, this was posted 5 years ago. I can't imagine how much your writing has improved since then, or that you check this account anymore, but I'll leave this, just in case.

This is my favorite Puppyshipping fanfiction and one of my favorites of all time. The more subdued tone was intriguing and so different from so many fics and the atmosphere it created was like magic. I love your writing style, it's incredible in an indescribable way. Every word was a blessing, and the way you did so much research and put in so much important culture that's usually so ignored... I'm completely in awe. Your style of writing is quite possibly my favorite out of all the hundreds I've encountered. The subtle detail that stood out to me as a powerful example of the way you write was the reflection of the stove light in Seto's tea, the image was clear and perfect for me, so real and yet surreal as well.

I can't adequately describe my adoration, and it's almost 4AM so I fell I shouldn't attempt it, but thank you so much for this story. You're an inspiration of how I want to write, pouring my heart into the world and the life of the characters' existence.

Absolutely stunning.
Guest chapter 1 . 7/19/2015
I never review, but this story was really well written, the characters were in depth, and it was a beautifully straightforward plot, which is refreshing in fanfiction. :) I think you have these characters down. Nice story...and a sequel would be very interesting. I sense a lot of drama between these two if they pursue their relationship further, which I hope they do :)
