I *adore* this story. I love how walled off both Harry and Ruth are (or try to be) and how it takes both the big cataclysm from the action plot and a spot of friendly meddling to get them together.

And I love the smut. Shaming, but true. ;-)

This is such a satisfying fic. The pace and tension of the plot, the way Harry's family are brought into play, the aching angst post-Paris and the eventual resolution are all ace! Thank you for a great read.

1) I apologise profoundly for not having reveiwed sooner. I don't do chapter/author alerts, and so hadn't realised you'd updated (thus completed) Reckonings. Believe me though, it was worth the wait.

2) Christ this fic was good. I mean really, Reckonings is now my favourite fic of all time. Ever. (Though I'd kinda decided that anyway after chapter 4).

3) How do you write the way you do? You have such a pure talent, it's unbeliveable. If you wrote a book full of say 10 H/R fics, I would pay ALOT to have a copy. You're fantastic. You're fics are a new episode to me, they're that good. Thank you HRFan.

Sorry for the ultra late review but I've only just found a bit of time to try and get back into the world of fic. I really enjoyed reading this fic and love the idea of Ruth being section head of intel! Well written and thought out as always and a pleasure to read. Thanks for making my route back to ficdom an enjoyable one.

A beautiful ending for a beautiful fic, respectful to the Spooks' spirit, regarding the plot and the characters and it's not that usual so thank you for that. I do love the way you're writing Harry's half sentences and Ruth finishes them. They complete each other, and you have written it so very well.

I will miss your fic as I was waiting to have an alert for Reckonings for weeks (or is it months now?) and I'm looking forward to reading your new fic.

Like the other reviewers, I must congratulate you on a truly magnificent fic - the whole story from beginning to end was absorbing, well written, and the HR-storyline was complimented with an equally interesting and well thought out plot.

Both your fics have demonstrated a real ability to get under the skin of the characters and really explore the possible array of complex emotions.

You've clearly spent time to ensure that the fic takes on a strong sense of direction and this has paid off. All 22 chapters make all in all for a well paced and truly enjoyably read.
