This is so amazingly well-written :)

I love the simplicity of the most powerful statements in this. "It is what it is" would be how Ziva looks at it, especially when calm, and that she says this so quietly...very nice. Then the DC touring in the appropriate tourist clothes...and finally the lovely last line, echoing from earlier "And that was that" is perfect.

This whole sequence is so effective. Ziva, angry, drunk, pushing, pushing too hard, saying cruel things ("Does it turn you on") and then trying to force *herself* in order to feel in control...so painful and horrible and effective. Then Tony stopping her, stopping them, after she froze, and going to her in the shower, where her scars and thinness stand out so strongly...this is painful and believable. Well done.

I really love her going to look at beautiful things to replace the ugliness she has experienced, and connecting with the "pursuit of happiness" as something possible even for her. Nice.

Wow! This is a wonderful story. You have a beautiful writing style- I really enjoyed reading it. The level of adult content was appropriate given the context, which a lot of authors tend to forget, so great job on that. Your other stories are really great, too; "On Your Six" was fantastic :) keep posting great stories!

My goodness! You made me cry, but it was a nice cry.. This lovely piece got me all emotional.. It was beautifully written and you expressed their feeling like you were living it too.. I liked the singing details, it showed that you really invested time in making an enjoyable and accurate story.. I can't say anything more.. I loved it..

This is such a beautiful story. I just absolutely adore your style - it's very succinct. And it all flows very nicely.

Really liked, "She reminded him of a child finding pleasure in the simplicity of doing something just because she had the ability to do so."

Anyway, yes, I thought it was great. And the last chapter, the progression back into normality, was a nice way of soothing back down after the intense bout of chapters in the middle.

A! You're making me tear up a bit! This took a delightful turn for the unexpected (in the semi-platonic sleepovers) but I thought it was a beautifully realistic response to everything. It was sad and sweet and I loved how you circled back to the Ziva tourist thing, which I found highly adorable. I also liked how you stretched out the time period. And Gibbs' tacit approval! Oh, I just loved all of it!
