this was a great spin on a modern retelling, and told from the view of Meg. I almost wanted to cry near the end.

this is AMAZING. really REALLY well written, and it's really impressive how well you stuck to the book, even in the modern-day setting. probably one of the most canon modern-days i've ever read. again, AMAZING.

I just read the entire story and enjoyed it very much. I try to read a variety of Erik-POTO FF stories and found this one very entertaining and different. Thanks for sharing it.

I just got round to reading the last few chapters - and I seriously can't believe that this story doesn't have more reviews! It's intellegently written with gravitas and brilliant characterisation and I've loved reading it.

There are no words for the emotions this piece calls up. Perhaps the only way I could express them is through music, but that isn't an option, so I will settle for telling you that I cried bitterly.

I really enjoyed this story! I like that you approached it from Meg's point of view - that she is both an observer and a participant - that you didn't romanticize Erik but still managed to make him intriguing, attractive, and dangerous. I especially like Christine's arc and the suggestion that her association with Erik, though doomed, made her a stronger individual. And the last words of the story are brilliant! Thank you for this piece!

Great story! I am sad that Erik died though. I was hoping that he and Meg would get together. Have you thought about writing an alternate ending to your story? It would be awesome if you did!

Good conclusion to a nice story. Glad that Erik died in the end, so thanks for standing by your guns and not giving in to the easy kill with Christine and Erik singing happily into the sunset. I like a realistic ending.

This story is great! I am totally into it!

I am really liking how you took the view of an outsider to write this. And in chapter 22, when Meg is explaining how the words and music issuing from Christine's mouth influence the audience, I enjoyed it. Once again, good take on the narrative. The same old, same old Erik/Christine narration needs a healthy break like this.

What an interesting story! I think it's so neat it's from Meg's perspective. I think you've written Christine, Raoul, and Erik all so well, and having Meg as the narrator is so unique. I can't wait to read more!
