This chapter was very bittersweet. I like how the burden of what seems like immortality weighs on Kyoshi, and how she is relieved to see that she becomes old at the end. She won't have to bury her daughter. Good job. :)

(I was horrified already by the death counts - the first one alone, and then they just kept stacking up, and THEN you added in the wounded... Yes! I've wondered what the fandom would think of the show if it was canceled after episode 13. A one-hit wonder, to be sure. And what a way to go out! I can imagine the fanfics for what might have happened after "The Blue Spirit." Maybe the series wouldn't be hugely popular, but I imagine it having a dedicated cult following, and being one of those obscure mini-series that no-one knows about despite it's epic-ness.
