Reviews for The Night is Full of Stars
Guest chapter 120 . 2/2/2016
While I need time to decide whether or not this is my favorite story, I can absolutely say that it is the most well written story I have ever read on this site (and I've been hanging around here for a very long time).

Your transitions were not nearly as clumsy as you seemed to think, your characters -especially Nedda- aged and grew in a believable way, your plot was varried throughout the story but in a way that made sense and was needed, without having long dull spots or being overly repetitive like most long stories are.

In fact my one complaint is even one that I understand and see the need for, and has more to do with my own personality than your writing. I must say I do wish that Jess hadn't managed to sleep with quite so many people during the story, or had such a cavalier attitude towards sex in general. I do feel however that it in many ways made her a good foil for Alistair's character, and helped to illustrate how two people who have the same feelings can react to those feelings and let it affect their lives in very different ways.

Also. You will never be able to convince me that you don't have a biting fetish...
FunnyLittleMe chapter 120 . 8/31/2014
Wow. Jeez. I just read all of it, and I would curse you for the tears currently rolling down my face and onto my keyboard.
It was a slog to read it all, but an enjoyable slog. I cried at Berton, I cried at Zevran, and damn it I've cried at the very last chapter too.

My only complaints are the occasional typos and the sudden feeling of the ending. It all ends very suddenly, and I find myself wondering what exactly happened.
Anyway, now I'd like to think that Jessimyn and Alistair do get to see each other in what lies beyond. Because otherwise I think I will cry tonight.

That was absolutely beautiful. I loved it!
Guest chapter 26 . 5/13/2013
I unfortunately had to give up on this. It became quite tedious with the main character being so stubborn in what she wanted. This, coupled with the slow pace of the story, made me lose interest.
xetykins chapter 120 . 1/11/2013
I avoided this fic for a long while due to it's length. And boy did I regret it. Once I started on the first 10 chapters I could not put it down. It had been on my favorites as " to read" list.

Berton.. Oh my..I did not really think I would fall in love with the man the first time you introduced him. But in the end, I don't think I have ever cried so much reading a fic! You are wonderfully evil.

I just love the whole world you have written. So within the da world within the nitty gritty reality of the life as a grey warden.

Thank you so much for sharing this.

Probably the best chapter ive read so far...WELL DONE!
Guest chapter 120 . 10/27/2012
Ok, I dont think I could cry more for the next year or so. This story is just so beautiful and sad, specially on Brenton's last few chapters.

Thank you so much for sharing this with us. You are amazing!

I'm not sure how I feel about the closing chapter. I almost wish there was an epilogue to bring further closure to this epic story. It's fitting that their final acts saved the world once again, bring events full circle. I wished we had more time to delve into themie and morrigan before the curtain fell.

Thank you for sharing the life of Jessimyn with us. This was an amazing achievement and not one I'll soon forget.
jazsqr chapter 118 . 10/11/2012
Wow, a twist so near the end. There was a somber tone to this chapter. The long goodbye to a life well lived. The bond between alistair and Jess was almost physically palpable.
jazsqr chapter 117 . 10/11/2012
I think the transitional chapters are really interesting because the huge spans of time that pass in a few simple sentences. It's rare to encounter a story that covers so much of a characters life. In a way the story feels more like a series of books, covering important chapters of Jessimyn's life. The journey to reach this point has been amazing.
jazsqr chapter 87 . 10/9/2012
This was a beautifully moving chapter. Again, you transformed a character so slowly over the course of this story that he is virtually unrecognizable from his introduction. Yet, somehow, never felt out of character. The emotion seem to radiate off the screen in the account of their final days. The subdued goodbye somehow serve to amplify the enormity of the moment. Just wonderful.
jazsqr chapter 84 . 10/9/2012
You sure do like to pour on the hurt:) There is a palpable dread in the wait for the healers. I suppose a hero is defined by the adversity she overcomes.
jazsqr chapter 70 . 10/8/2012
Fantastic way to close out the chapter. I swear this story is feeling more and more like a snowball rolling down a hill. Gathering speed and momentum and size until it promises destruction of everything in its path.
jazsqr chapter 66 . 10/8/2012
Aw, how can comeuppance be so bittersweet! Continues to be amazing.
jazsqr chapter 65 . 10/8/2012
I simultaneously dread the next chapter and can't get to it fast enough. And that's a very good thing. This story suddenly offer so many painful and compelling possibilities.
