oh my goodness what a chapter! it's so good to be back in jordan's head, or her ancestors' heads, with that smooth and clinical detachment she has and the clean, analytical approach to description, recollection, interpretation. a beautiful vignette. there's a sweet ache in this chapter, in this fic, which has set up shop in my heart and never quite leaves.

i'd be perfectly happy to stay in this timeline, before everything changed, but i'll keep reading no matter what.

started again... please go on with writing. it's probably my favorite story here. although this chapter hurt a bit to read because of all the injuries.

Seeing this in my inbox was a such an unexpected delight, and reading it even more so! More time with Sofia-Mari and this interesting new set of characters-I'm so excited, oh man, I have to go back and re-read everything to get properly caught up. This is wonderful!

(Maybe it's just because I'm a terrible uneducated swine, but this doesn't seem like a wild swing away from the style in the rest of the story. Still magnificent, still evocative, still a voice that's a pleasure to read. 3)

Jordan's PoV is as great to read as ever- I've really missed reading how well you describe her and everything around her: her delirium sequences are invariably the strongest and most original ones I've read c: It's also wonderful to see the story delving into a new ancestor and the circumstances in which they live. Most importantly, this chapter has, as always, left me feeling impatient for the next one, a true sign that you've written it well c:

Wow... I was gonna wait until I finished reading the rest of this before writing some feedback, but this was a fantastic first chapter! My heart was literally pounding in my chest by the last paragraph. I have only one suggestion, I guess, which is maybe mix up the sentence lengths a little: there are a lot of short, sharp ones. But that's what gives the story its immediate feel, isn't it? Don't mind me, I'm just trying to not make this a random spiel about how much I'm looking forward to the next chapter.

Your writing has a brilliant way of allowing the reader free reign and yet sculpting the images better than cinematography could, and I guess there's really no critique that I can give you. Just keep doing what you're doing, and I can guarantee at least one very happy reader ;)

And it's totally true about the seasonal depression thing. We don't get snow in California (except for like this one day in the third grade) and we have to go all the way up to Lake Tahoe to go snowboarding.

But snow and the lack of sun makes us desperate for human contact, I guess. Mary-Sues are allowed, if they're this cute and fluffly. (A mixture of fluffy and lovely)

I really like the way she slowly remembers things about her life, and how it really builds her character. the journal is used by many an author, when they really need to get inside their character's heads. I, on the other hand, leave it to readers to fill in some blanks, unless i do so later.

i really really really really (i could go on for hours) love your writing, and i hope you continue on with it! can't wait for april 10th!

so the only thing im capable to say: i really, really do love your story. ive read it maybe 5 times. i like how your portraying the different characters. They are even more believable than in the game. of course desmond but especially jordan.

i don't really like o/cs and its pretty hard to do a good one. But Jordan is great. I like her and im most curious what is going to happen to her. More than anyone else of the others.

hope you will find some time to continue this story soon. thanks for your time.
