Even though you don't like Karin (me either!), it might've been interesting to draw out her involvement with Sasuke...to make Sakura question his feelings for her. Otherwise, it's kinda simple to connect the dots (with Itachi's guidance). Just a thought.

Also, the prince seems to have disappeared. I would've thought he'd want to show off his palace/wealth in the hopes of winning Sakura over that way. It could be an interesting mix with the prince trying to seduce Sakura and Karin using her wiles on Sasuke.

PS It was funny that the maid was blushing over Itachi when Sakura assumed it was because of Sasuke. She's not used to having another handsome Uchiha hanging around! Fun chapter!

I really like how you handle Itachi's character here. He's brimming with shinobi skills, but all he wants to do is enjoy nature. Sigh. Poor Itachi. How you had him jump back into the game was brilliant. Really well put.

Karin is amazing comic relief, isn't she? And just like Kishimoto did in Scarlet Spring, it's fun to use her to set everyone's hair on fire with disbelief! Hee, hee!
