Thank you so much for writing an unhardened Alistair who remains with the Grey Wardens. I've read far too many fics that make it seem unavoidable for Alistair to be crowned and you raise a very good point with the whole Grey Wardens oath/duty thing, something that I've always wondered as well. I loved this ficlet and the happy ending was definitely appreciated. c:

Fluffy is definitely my favorite way to go, too. I loved this story. The way you wrote it made the Dalish backstory feel much more real to me. I had never quite warmed up to it. I didn't dislike it, but it didn't have quite the emotional punch as the others, for me. I also loved how she let Arl Eamon have it. I couldn't stand the old guy after what he did to Alistair...my Warden, had she had the choice, would have let him die and made Teagan Arl. But this definitely worked, too. :)

This story makes me ridulously happy every time I read it. This is my head canon for Mahariel. Thank you!

Loved it! Very well done, I like how you emphasized the cultural differences and the troubles any Dalish would have adjusting to the human society, its funny how many writers forget what I think would be one a the largest conflicts in the whole situation. Brilliant.

This was great! Funny and sad and heartwarming. I really got to believe in this couple. :)

I really like the build-up. Too bad I'm already halfway through... I like the fact that you are taking your time to build things up, and not just jump into something.

Just one thing:

Just hearing someone say it out loud like that makes the color drain from his face, and he cannot refute it fast enough. "Besides," he finishes after a good minute of vehement, half-panicked denials, "I'm a Grey Warden, and that is not a promise that can be foresworn, even if I wanted to be king. Which I don't. In case you didn't pick up on that."

That's confusing, you should have at least written a few of those denials...

Interesting. Very interesting. I really like the Dalish girl... Let's see where this goes.

Ahhh, sweet sweet fluff. It's nice that this story had a happy ending. It needed one i think ;-)

I love your portrayal of your Dalish Elf and how alien she seems to everyone else and how she is confused by others behaviour. Nice touch about her being upset at how Alistair's family had treated him. I also giggled like a school girl when she gave the guard a head ache and her cell mate cot a little hot under the collar. It's OK Alistair, lots of men would have found that attractive, you don't have some weird fetish!

I would have liked this story to go on longer. You know, see a bit of their life afterwards. That is just me being selfish however. Anyway, loved it. thanks for all your hard work.

This is definatley one of my favourite fanfics. Well done.
