Very interesting, one of the best Christmas Carol stories I've ever seen in this site. I hope you conclude this story soon

A superb installment to the story. I think you followed a good path, and I want to see where it will lead. However, I found it a little hard to understand what was happening in the story closer to the end. Please don't take that as an insult; I love the story. Carry on.

Now the question is *who* do you have playing the ghosts?

I could see it unfolding something like this:

Rei as the ghost of Christmas Past

Asuka as the ghost of Christmas Present

Shinji as the ghost of Christmas Future

Will be interesting to see where this goes, that it will..

The three ghosts are going to try and show Gendo the error of his ways. Man, I feel so sorry for them, they are getting burned on this assignment. My bet is them ending up cynical and hating Christmas.

Technically Gendo DOES have a point. They're dealing with an enemy that can attack AT ANY TIME WHAT SO EVER! Can you AFFORD to have no on staff for 24 hours?

Gendo's ignorance is showing, Christmas wasn't invented by Americans, in fact, the original Pilgrims left England to get AWAY from Christ Mass which they considered to be a pagan holiday (since it had been chosen to celebrate Jesus' honorific birthday ON a pagan holiday since they were in direct competition at the time).

It took centuries for the Protestants to even acknowledge christmas!

I'm not sure why you'd put Yui in the role of Jacob.

Ritsuko's mother would have been a much MUCH more logical choice for the role, she felt for him (and would be willing to give a warning beyond death to him), could be as horrid as him (her willingness to murder Rei-I out of jealously), and suffers right now for her own choices! Fitting Jacob's role perfectly! Sorry Shing, you goofed.

I think I now understand about the original line being that third ghost would come at the time of their own choosing (as the future always does).

This is a classic form of fanfiction and by no means a bad one, and something to be call a tribute more than anything.

I hope you manage to complete this Shing. Then again, if there is one thing you're good at completing, it's your adaptations (that's why I know you'll complete Never Ending Game too!)

Also, I now realize in Smash Brothers, that the SSC would be willing to help MewTwo murder Yui since it would in their minds get Gendo 'back on track.'

Ironically, the manga alt-verses suggested that Gendo had pretty much the same lousy childhood Shinji had.

Just remember that the three ghosts as a whole were able to show Scrooge himself from the outside in.
