This is masterful. An amazing piece of writing from the perspective of one who is, in essence, a child who watched their mother die.

Would you laugh if I said I cried? Well, I did. It reminds me of my little Yorick so much. I always thought about writing a story about Yorick's past, before I caught him in that lonely tower. You reminded me to do that, and I really enjoyed this story even though it broke my heart a little.

Poor baby! You captured the questions of the young so well. And, you know, I think that baby Pokemon, heck, maybe even baby animals, have certain instincts we don't, perceive that which we do not. The little one understands so little, and yet so much. Were we ever like that?
