Poor, oblivious Ash. At least unlike in some anime episodes, he actually manages to put it all together at the end.

I was surprised to see Gary avoid eye contact. Shame is not something I generally attribute to him.

Gary seems to have an obsession with coming up with nicknames. The nickname he gave Todd definitely fits. I wonder if Gary has dated any of Ash's other friends?

I hope you plan on doing more drabbles, because I'm hooked!

It's a little awkward to read Gary curse so freely, but then again, it was also a little awkward at first to read about him and Ash having sex, and I got used to that, so I'm sure I'll get used to the cursing, too.

I liked the note from Ash. I can see him writing a note like that, and I also liked that Pikachu was in on it.

Gary and Umbreon's interactions were fun - she was more excited than he was to see what was in the package!

I don't know what surprises me more, the fact that Gary has so few ex-boyfriends or that Ash and Misty were a couple at some point...

Ash must have *really* been uncomfortable for him to be so relieved when Misty brought up the sex. I can't imagine many scenarios where the subject of sex wouldn't leave Ash flushed with embarrassment.

... At the dinner table? I guess either Gary can barely control his hormones or he just doesn't care.

It's probably the latter.

Ash makes it sound like it's a *bad* thing he and Gary happen to be back in Pallet at the same time. I wonder what might be going through his head.

Heh, Gary's lucky Misty didn't try stabbing his hand with a fork...

... Well, after two drabbles dripping with angst, here now is a drabble dripping with something *else*. I guess at this stage of their relationship, it's more about the sex than the emotional bond, at least for Gary. I like the double entendre you slipped in there. ;)

I really liked the last line of this drabble. Gary knows what he's doing is wrong, and it's tearing him up on the inside, but he's too afraid and ashamed to let their friendship continue. I also like how leading up to the last line, you used the word "easy" twice, and I thought that made the last line even more heart-wrenching.

I like how you described Ash's feelings in this drabble. "Wilt", in particular, is a vivid and powerful word that really hits hard. Gary's friendship meant a lot to Ash, and I think this drabble effectively conveys the hopelessness and sense of loss that he felt on that day and every day afterward.

Ash and Gary could learn a thing or two from Pikachu and Eevee, I think. ;)

I like what you did with Ash's character. As much as Gary annoys him sometimes, underneath his annoyance is a kid that just wants to be friends with (practically) anyone and have fun.

Nice job. This first drabble is something that I definitely could see happening on the anime.
