Hey, great story you got here.

You spin a great plot with believable and likable characters. You almost don't know which side to take, especially with the Raptor v. Carver/ Mercer

Great fight scenes.

Since you're into this stuff, I know an author that also has equally good writing. (No, it's not me. I haven't made one)

Look up the author, Mister Cynical.

His stories are also about military. Great writer as well.

Oh my gosh this is great! I'm only on the 4th chapter and I'm absolutely hooked! You captured tue emotion of it all perfectly! Me (being as stoic as I am) it's very hard to get me to tear up. However you were able to get me to do it when they found Ghost and Roach. Just gotta say keep on keeping on!

Seeing this posted made me late for work :-) Time to get some reviewing up in here!

Davidenko believes in keeping his enemies closer, doesn't he? I have neglected to mention my fondness for Redinova, one of the few non-Mary Sues in this fandom. While strong and capable, she's about as far from one as it gets, which is so nice. She's all business - smart, calculating and manipulative. Love it, and I love the dynamic between her and Davidenko.

As ever, you have me curiously googling weapons that are new to me ;-)

I really liked the detail of Raptor picking out greater purpose in the approaching footsteps.

I'm glad you are touching on the subject of Price's release from the Gulag and instant reinstatement into the Task Force, seemingly with no questions asked. That was always a difficult plot point to swallow.

I loved Makarov's thoughts about both Price and his pistol being relics of the past. Although he clearly has no taste, hating on the 1911 like that! :P

Finally, I adored the falcon/falconer analogy for the UAV - I couldn't think of a better way to put it, really. As for Makarov's thoughts regarding his men possibly interfering...oh, YES. I can't wait to find out what happened between Soap, Price and Anatoly, and to see how it all ends!

Nothing wrong with an AU, especially since this upcoming installment of the canon might be the last we see of Soap and Price.

I love your choice of setting for the final showdown. I also love the fact that your story addresses Price's past actions, which no one seemed to bat an eye at in the canon, and no other writer has touched on. Things are really coming to a head; Makarov's "...deepest feud had now come to him", and Toad's distrust of Price, to name a couple. I'd say the Old Man's got a problem or two. And who will be the UAV's next target?

Speaking of which, I couldn't help but chuckle when Zhirkov got blasted by the drone. Does that make me a bad person? :P

Careful words, indeed. I love the little games that the characters play against each other, especially those of the manipulative Valentina. As for Davidenko and Redinova's discussion of 'the plan' - how terribly true that is!
