Oh, I love it! I talk to my baby cousins and niece the same way Bones does to Saavik. Speaking of which, I found that interesting that you picked that name. Outside influence? Reference? I don't know, but it's very cute. You wrote this so well :) The end bit with Jim was pretty funny, I liked the last line. Adorable story and definitely one of my favorites!
