I really like this story. I enjoy Spock/Kirk fics but it annoys me that in so many Nyota just smiles and accepts the Kirk/Spock is destiny and moves on to the next man. Or worse she bcomes BFF and surrogate mother. I love that in your story she chose her destiny and not to be "the pretty face in the background". Outstanding. And Chapel going to med school and Leo followng her I just want to squeal!

I would love to see more. Not necessarily a true plot, but a few more steps where Spock and possibly Kirk and maybe even Spock!Prime realize how wrong they were about destiny. Maybe Uhura can be there and smile even as they apologize to her.

Interesting. General admin comment I'd recommend making it very explict before the start of your story in the notes what this is a sequel to because some may wish to read that first.

Ah, Kahn is dead, "their destiny" is all already altered. What the hell was Spock!Prime thinking putting that crap in their heads when he knows how much has changed like his Mom dying. There will be no "Journey to Babel" or Amanda to ask him how he feels after his Katra is returned to his body.

Uhura's summary of the story so far to her mom is kind of awkward - it's an obvious info dump, but her mom's responses are truly awesome and mom-like. It makes me like her immediately.

And hence the weakness of the destiny excuse, once the timeline changed all bets were off...serves Kirk and Spock right!

Who do Spock think is he? You push and push a person to a breaking point and things tend to happen. Nyota needs to be happy. OMG Christine and McCoy is leaving. Wow it is not going to be the same on the Enterprise without them. That's what those jerks get.
