Kaiimei chapter 1 . 3/4 Oh... I thought... I thought this was going to be a Hive story. Where the Emperor sends Zerg to ravage the heretical forces of chaos, as well as the rest of the perfidious xenos! I mean, it's still a great idea, don't get me wrong, but after spending a full day excitedly reading through Voyager: Remastered and imagining how awesome it'll be to see Xenos chewed apart by the Zerg...the reality is saddening. Oh well, there's always other stories! (I'm definitely noting this down though for when I want to see Marines kicking cigars and taking ass. Uhh, hang on...) |
Guest chapter 10 . 7/18/2019 COMMUNISM WILL BE DESTROYED! COME BROTHER AND SISTERS! WE MUST GO ON A CRUSADE OF PURGATION OF THIS FOUL PRACTICE! |
PwnerofHeroes chapter 3 . 1/3/2019 pretty good, as long as you bear in mind that the author doesn't know much about the 40k universe and that is pretty apparent, in fact it probably would have been better to flip the concept entirely |
ZE GOD HAND chapter 13 . 7/4/2018 Dude this is fracking awesome. |
Warmachine375 chapter 58 . 6/12/2018 After reading from Chapters 1 - 58, I'm really enjoying The Confederate about Jax who was sent to 40K by the Emperor of Mankind with a mission to save humanity from enemies and threats and itself too as well after dying in battle in the Starcraft universe and rose up to become a Battle Saint of the Imperium, Master of the Administratum and leader of the Dogs of War Legion with his trusty sidekick and best friend Dimitri who have grown into a strong confident man far from his old self being hopeless and had nothing to live for prior to meeting the Confederate Marine in his arrival. I love it when Jax brought some positive changes for the Imperium thanks to those who supported him, believed in him and also pulled their weight and had good deal of Character Development thanks to his influence. :D Along with showing that Jax and the rest of the Dogs of War are not invincible and can be killed or defeated with losses on the battlefield despite their CMC armors, Battle Saint's powers and Terran weaponry and technology. This is Warhammer 40K after all and in the grim 41st Millennium, there's always war that seemingly never ends to the laughter of the cruel gods. Makes me worried for the major factions of 40K reacting to the change and shifting the balance of power that they would be compelled to mobilize and make their move for better or worse. Although Tzeentch might welcome such huge changes and finds it more interesting while his compatriots would be looking forward to crush or corrupt the Battle Saint and the Dogs of War. Gotta love the Space Redneck and his refreshing personality mixed with humor, crass, never say die spirit and a whole lot fof asskicking. And that had helped him brought down KhĂ rn the Betrayer and earned the respect of Adamus despite losing to him but was spared and lived to fight another day. Are you sure that Jax is not one of the two Missing Primarchs since the Emperor called him His son before he gets revived? As much I enjoy seeing Jax and his Dogs of War being able to kick ass and making the Space Marines, either Loyalist, Traitor or Chaos, their bitches with their advanced CMC armors and weaponry enhancing their martial prowess and might with the ever-innovative and improving Terran technology, it feels kinda little awkward and bit jarrng since the Space Marines are well-known as the genetically altered super soldiers made from the geneseed of their Primarch gene fathers and created by the Emperor to be the mighty demigod protectors of humanity and the ultimate bane of xenos, mutants, traitor and heretics and daemons, and they are faster, stronger and smarter in every way than humans ever could. The pinnacle and transcendence of humanity being special and possessing the potential to better themselves. Their power armor and weapons are a lot tougher, more powerful and packs serious punch that would render many unarmored enemies into chunky bits of gore in their path. Terrans have serious bad luck with the Protoss and their advanced psionics and technology, and the Zerg and their evolution and adaptability. However, the Terrans relied on their teamwork, innovation and never-say-die spirit and stubbornness to fight to live makes them a force to be reckoned with. Which makes sense since Jax embodied such traits of the Terrans that allowed him to survive 40K despite the great odds against him and he would apply that for all Dogs of War to be flexible and more versatile. But then again this is your story and you pretty meshed both universes very well. Keep doing what you best and ignore the haters. The GW's 40Kcanon is screwed to Hell anyway especially that dumb reveal of the Emperor not really caring about the Primarchs as His sons and see them as powerful but expendable tools and any headcanon such as this is acceptable. Besides it was fun and awesome to see Jax manhandles the Sons of Marathon Space Marine after he was pissed at the guy for stealing his kill in the battle with the Orks; Or Dimitri having his say that the Space Marines are the obsolete and relics of the past to the Rebel Ultramarine who arrogantly taunted him and mocked the Dogs of War in CMC armor as "False Astartes" after fatally stabbing the asshole to death right at his precious gene seed organs; Or the Chaos Night Lord Raptor thought he could take on the Dog of War Marauder in the darkness and got blasted to pieces as a result; Or that Chaos Iron Warrior underestimating the Cadian Dog of War during the skirmish recently and paid for it with his life after arrogantly boasting that he's far older and more experienced in killing all who serve the False Emperor; Or the Rebel Ultramarine Terminator had made a huge mistake of arrogantly laughing at the Ratling Dog of War in CMC Abhuman variant armor who then tore him apart with modified lightning claws. It was hilarious and awesome at the same time. Humans (and abhumans too as well) empowered by the CMC armor finally got the chance to stand up to the Space Marines that looked down upon them and disregarded them as puny mortals. Say, I would love to see the Firebats, Medics and Crusaders introduced to the Dogs of War and expanding their arsenal and versatilty. 1. Firebats to purge and cleanse the enemies of the Imperium with promethium fire that everyone would agree on and happily wear them if it means burning Chaos Daemons and heretics, xenos and mutants. 2. Medics to heal their allies with powerful healing nanomachines and keeping them alive on the battlefield while possessing Impaler rifles to defend themselves. The Apocetharies would find themselves on a new competition. 3. Crusaders to protect their comrades with new plasma shields they raise on their armguards and attacking their enemies head on in melee combat with rocket hammers and Charge ability from the singular rocket exhaust system on their backs. Will we get to see more Abhumans in the Dogs of War like the Felinids, the Ogyrns and the Squats because that would be cool to see them wear their respective CMC Abhuman armor variants? Jax would allow such folks into his Legion since the Ratlings were able to gain much respect from the humans they fought side by side together. Very glad the Mechanicum were able to agree on creating more CMC armor and variants and Terran weaponry, equipment and vehicles due to being STC from the Dark Age of Technology to be used for the Dogs of War and probably the Imperial Guard to bolster their fighting strength and chance since such advanced power armor was somewhat mainstream in the Korprulu Sector by any Terran faction having access to them. Along with fixing out some flaws and making improvements on the CMC armor. The bubble helmet kinda needs to go due to liability issues of being cracked and penetrated and it was fun while it lasted. The cross shaped visored helms that was used by the War Pig mercenaries are good replacements and practical too as well. I wonder how would the Space Marine Chapters react about the Dogs of War being a Legion? Because there hasn't been a Legion ever since the introduction of the Codex Astartes after the Horus Heresy. But since the Dogs of War aren't exactly Space Marines, they might have a pass lol and Jax would recruit as many men and women into his Legion and ain't that picky including having the vast source of funds and resources of the Administratum to feed, train and equip them. It's kinda surprising that Cato Sicarius and his supporters would dare betray and rebel against Calgar and his loyalists so he can become the new Chapter Master of the Ultramarines and avenge his humiliation by Jax and the Dogs of War, and Chaos wasn't even involved in it this time. Wow, first time everything and I would agree with you that not all humans who committed such foolish actions and atrocities were caused by Chaos but themselves. Glad the Ultramarines are not as invincible and all-powerful and infallible that Matt Ward made them out as Canon Sues. Nobody likes the Ultrasmurfs and their snobbish asshole attitudes lol. And I'm more surprised Guilliman hadn't been healed and woken up yet to put the Ultramarines in their place after Jax came back to life stronger than ever to change the tide in the Dogs of War and Ultramarine loyalists' favor and defeat Cato Sicarius into submission. But we'll wait and see. I want to see the Primarch of the Ultramarines and the Confederate Battle Saint team up and save the Imperium together. Glad we got an Ultramarine Dreadnought joining the Dogs of War and it's awesome. He's even a nice guy to the Ratlings who earned his respect as warriors. Might be interesting to see how Jax and the Dogs of War react to the Primaris Marines being commissioned in active service by Guilliman to bolster all Space Marine Chapters' numbers and aid the Imperial Guard armies on many fronts of the Imperium. For how Jax got his powers befitting that of a Battle Saint everyone came to know and revere that he's the real deal, it must have been his psionic powers unlocked and boosted by the Emperor and protecting him from the Warp influence and corruption. After all, the Terrans have the potential to be psionics but they're somewhat rare in the Koprulu Sector and those who do were inducted into the Ghost Academy and trained to become brainwashed and indoctrinated assassins of the Confederacy and later the Dominion. Except Raynor's Raiders, Umojan Protectorate and Valerian's new regime obviously. That would explain why Jax was able to pull off such impressive superhuman or godly feats like absorbing sources of power and firing energy blasts from his hands and teleporting anytime he wants that seemed impossible and his powers were enough to convince everyone that he's really a Battle Saint sent and blessed by the Emperor of Mankind. I wanna see the meeting between Celestine and Jax and that would be interesting and hilarious. Especially how the Sisters of Battle interact with the Dogs of War. I hope Dimitri's old friend, the captured Sister of Battle, find a way to escape from Adamus' clutches and hold on to her faith in the Emperor since she hadn't been corrupted or tempted by Chaos yet so far. Then join the Dogs of War as a Sister of Battle representative. Adamus is up to something with the Dark Eldar while the Despoiler plans his next Black Crusade upon Cadia once more. That can't be good and the suspense is killing me there. I want to see the Emperor's Holy Ork again. I miss him so much. XD Including the grumpy Techmarine who's in charge of maintaining the CMCs and had issues with the Exterminators Chapter gone Chaos. And the Inquisitor who isn't batshit insane and Exterminatus-happy trigger but instead welcomed Jax and helped him to know the ropes and the ins and outs of the Imperium too as well. And also the Protoss friend of Jax too as well. Might be intriguing to see how the Dogs of War react to a Protoss if they're not trigger happy or racist or both and Jax had that removed from their heads first. I have a feeling the Grey Knights are not going to be happy when they find out Chaos had found a way to corrupt their brothers and will have to erase that stain on their honor and reputation by purging them and putting them out of their misery. While it's gonna be funny if Jax sees the Dreadknight and laughs at it being "an oversized baby carriage with guns". And probably get away with it too. No way the Grey Knights would try to kill the Battle Saint and his Legion with their usual way of killing or rarely mindwiping eyewitnesses and potential Chaos taints because it would mean blasphemy and treason against the Emperor's Chosen Saints. Anyways, this is a really cool crossover and I'm looking forward for the next chapter. Faved and Followed. :D |
