I was sad to see that you aren't into DGM anymore, but if Samurai Champloo is going to be your new fandom of choice, I definitely support that~! (I haven't watched the whole thing yet, but it's already one of my favorite animes)

Since, as I said, I'm not very far into the series, I can't really pass judgment on how in character or out of character Jin and Mugen are in this. It's definitely not typical behavior for either of them (Jin especially), but no matter what the case, it's certainly an interesting situation to think about. I'm a sucker for hurt/comfort-type stuff, and this was fun to read. I haven't read chapter two yet, but I'm interested to see how that goes. Your writing style is just as good as it was in your DGM fics, I'm happy to see. :)
