Reviews for The Slamming of a Door

You know, that was quite to see another side of Jim Gordon.I loved it and for the life of me cannot believe how you're not able to do this for a living...then I remember the bullshite about the economy and how hard it is on everyone everywhere.I feel your this hobby included.I'd love to be able to put my imagination out there and that be how I make a living but life isn't ever gonna be that , enough your writing and I can't wait to read everything else on here so I can be impatient about waiting on new work for .I believe I'll save the other Harry Potter story for last since Sirius seems to be my favourite topic on here so up the good insomniac like myself lives on you and Gary Oldman a necessity.

What an awesome story! I'd been looking for some Gordon-related stories, and I'm glad I stumbled on this one, because it's very heart-warming. :)

Hey! Well, this was just lovely. I particularly enjoyed the attention to detail...all the minutiae of married life that, once it disappeared (even temporarily) he missed it and thought of it. The image of Barbara and the baby in front of the window, especially.

The story is told just beautifully, too. The line about slamming the door with enough force to rattle pictures and with enough force "to rattle their family" was so powerful. I really love how you portray Barbara; she's such a strong woman and wonderful mother/wife. And of course Rockland, now that I've seen it firsthand, was pretty cool! Enjoyed that as a setting for a reconnection.

Finally, the intimacy at the end. Very sexy, yet shows the amount of love they have for each other, and their mutual attraction that has never abated, even after two kids and many other responsibilities.

Perfect one-shot, M...I loved it! You're so gifted.

Great story. Gordon is such a great character in the new movies. It's terrific that you spun some fan fiction for him. It's also nice to read something about a husband and wife for a change.

Thanks,

Teddy
