This story is so awesome and beautiful I'm not sure what I should write. A tear or two escaped no matter how much I was trying to hold it back so yeah you can guess how much this impacted me. I love Hohenheim's interaction with Ed and Al and you did a great job showing Ed's growth from a child who hates his father to a man who understands, accepts and loves his father. Also, yay for Edwin and papa!Ed fluff!

Just everything about this was incredibly well-written and I'm looking forward to reading more!

I read this story in google translate and so the review gets a little confusing. I must say that I loved. I always liked Hoenheim and there are so few fanfics about him in Portuguese that I had to search in English. Amazing how you portrayed their relationship. And it was the first fic I've found that agrees with me about Ed For me Edward does not hate his father, hates himself and blames him.

Condolences for losing your father. In any case, this is the way I would think things would have played out most realistically and was slightly disappointed how the manga didn't seem to resolve the relationship between Ed and his dad as the first anime and movie at least attempted to.

I really enjoyed this story. I lost my Dad in 2008 after a long illness, so I can definitely see how your experience with your dad effected your observations for this story. I think you've got Ed right on, how he held onto his anger and hatred because of how much he loved his dad. I'm also glad that they had a chance to reconcile. I've always felt that there had to be some sort of reconciliation between Ed and Hohenheim. Well done.

I really loved this story. It's so deep and the entire time I was thinking about how well Ed was 'in' character. Alot of stories stray from his character because he can be such a stubborn stick in the mud lol but despite the difficulty of his in-depth characteristics you portrayed him well and in a new light when he had to come to grips with his father's impending passing. I liked your notation at the end about your own life experiences, and I'm glad to see the strength in those words. Of course I realize it must have been hard for you, but your pouring your strengths into a creative outlet which I think is even more amazing. I would love to read more from you, and I wish you well in your endeavors in the future. Wonderful story.

All I have to say is thank you. Thank you for writing such a beautiful, complex piece. The way that you portrayed Ed and how his feelings and how he felt about how he felt was perfect and completely in character, while still adapting his character to a more adult version. I also must say that the dream sequence was absolutely exquisite, and the imagery you used was beautiful. The abrupt changes that the sequence had still were very abstract and dreamlike, but still easily followed.

This is getting added to my favorites. Not only do we get papa!Hoho, but papa!Ed as well. (God that's a scary thought!) Ed's reaction to Winry's water breaking was priceless and perfect. Reminds me of when Elicia was born and he was freaking out with Nina and Al. I also loved that crazy dream. That's one of the most unique dream sequences I've ever come across. And all I do is read! Keep up the good work!
