AT LAST I FIND THIS.

I read this fic many years ago, loved it, forgot to save it and then I searched fruitlessly on and off for years until I stumbled upon it today. This has been one of the got-aways. I'm very happy to see it again, it's great and something I can see inevitably happening, even if not with Hugo then with someone. I love it, love it to bits.

This is brilliant if not a bit cynical

I love the writing and how it makes you really feel for Hugo and I love the slight cynisism

My favorite line is "he wonders if this will be justification for killing them all one day"

This absolutely blew my mind. It really got me thinking and I can actually see it happening. I mean it makes sense, though I find it sad that Hugo is courting the dark side. Something so easy to prevent, shapes the life of someone who shouldn't be ignored because family is supposed to be there for you. I want to know what happens next and see how his 'family ' reacts to what they pushed him towards. I have to admit I want something majorly huge to happen to them because of what they did to Hugo. O.o I actually want Hugo to go bad, that's a first for me xD.

This is really good and interesting. The end's brilliant in a cold sort of way.

I like your writing, especially how the second last paragraph gives us an insight as to how Tom Riddle might have first thought of getting revenge. And the last line just perfectly sums up the whole story. Makes me think of how everyone was concentrating so much on Grindelwald's rise and celebrating his fall that they failed to notice Voldemort as a potential threat.

Overall, it is quite sad, thinking that there may not be an actual happily-ever-after for Potterverse. And how ironic that the next Dark Lord is someone so closely related to the hero who defeated the previous one, and that his beginnings are rooted in something so small that can be easily prevented.

Nevertheless, this is a brilliant piece. Hope you'll come back and write more :)

I think this is really wonderful, its so real. And maybe thats how Tom was at Hogwarts and I totally get the whole I guess I should do something with my life.

This was absolutely brilliant how you compared Hugo with Lord Voldemort, they were both clever people and you can see Hugo is tempted to see what it would be like.
