I love this take on Beauty and the Beast! While it definitely holds more than a few of the story's elements, you've made it completely unique in it's own right.
Your writing is really, very lovely. Lovely descriptions and lovely atmosphere. I'm fond of the idea that Fai took the punishment in Yuui's place. Also, the contrast between the two twin's demeanor and their previous closeness. I imagine, because the strong bond between them, and because they're not too independent, the distance must be especially hard on them.
I was expecting a little more on the fact that the reason Yuui got in trouble with the beast in the first place was because of Fai. I thought I'd see a bit more guilt in the twin or a show that it factored into his decision in some way. Also, more than that, I was expecting either Yuui or Ashura to confront Fai, if they knew the day he had to leave was drawing closer, and he was acting oddly. Yuui especially should've taken the hint from his twins actions that he was planning to leave. And on that night especially, with Fai's behavior as it was during that whole day.
Also, the rose. Great idea. Yuuko, the feather, they all play their parts so well, it really does fit perfectly.
Although, with only an arm changed, Kurogane can hardly be considered a 'Monster'. And I'm still not entirely clear on what happened to Yukito and Touya, if they just became less useful or if they were actually changed too, though them taking care of Yuui when he went to find shelter there was really, very heartwarming. And I wonder what suddenly sparked Kurogane's interest in seeing and meeting Fai.
I like the last scene of this chapter. Kurogane lifting Fai's chin with his sword is an obvious parallel to the scene in Outo, though the context is very different. Nonetheless, the reference was written out very well. Very imaginable.
I look forward to maybe seeing a little on how Yuui and Ashura reacted, or perhaps having Fai see Yuui's desperation, determination in trying to get back to the castle. Because there's no way Yuui would just let Fai take his place like that. Not without putting up a huge struggle for his brother. As he said, he'd rather die than let the beast have him. No doubt Yuui would chase after Fai, though whether he'll find the castle again is another story altogether.
Actually, I look forward to any updates in general, and I wish you luck in future writings. You've been gone from this fanfic for a while, but I pray for your return nonetheless.

Just finished this and it's a shame this hasn't been continued, especially when it was getting better and better with each chapter.

What a great adaptation! I hope your muse bites again so we can have another chapter or two. I really liked how you made Yuui and Fai just a little different, and how Kuro is a beast in the sense of his arm- not actually a wolf man or something (which I'll be honest, is what I was expecting). I also really like how this is written in Fai's perspective, most fics are written with Kuro being the initial main character. It's great to see how Fai will initially think of and deal with grumpy Kuro. If you can, another update would be very very much appreciated!

Damn, Kuro-Pii is still sexy, even with a metal arm.

For serious, Caelia, he's still pretty awesome.

This story is a wonderful read and I really, really hope that you have the time or desire to pick it up again! The details are lovely, the flow is wonderful, and the way you're leading the plot along...all excellent!

Oh, I am so pleased reading this! You used actual Brother's Grimm elements instead of just Disney ones, and you've molded the story in such a marvelous fashion!
