| BardicBird chapter 1 . 6/28/2014 While restlessly waiting for Ilona Andrews to hurry up and get the next Kate Daniels book out - (and endlessly going to her blog and hitting refresh on her online free story that she posts bits of every week or two) this is a great bit of 'extra' to find. Really well done, lovely style and you really managed to both capture the right tone/voice of Ilona while still taking a well known character down a new byway. I keep poking Ilona to hurry - now it looks like there is another talented writer I will have to start looking for more work from. Which is great, I love finding new hidden talents to read. |

Really well written X) If you're going to write stories about character's pasts, you should write one about when Derek first came to the keep :) The books only mention it vaguely, saying Derek followed Curran around and never spoke, so it would be cool to hear a story about it. |
