This is a nice story, and it might have been nice had the scene ended this way.

One mistake that you might want to correct. You wrote: Even though Ren could see that Kyoko was back to her normal state, he was still saddened by the fact that Ren and Sho seemed to have moments like this, when they seemed to be the only people who mattered, more and more often.

I think that you meant Kyoko and Sho, not Ren and Sho.

This would have fit the manga perfectly! I loved it! Deffinately a 5 out of 5!

XD But the way I see it, I think it was her 'mind' in overdrive and purposely thought of her daydreams, knights, protectors, princesses, etc, and that's why she thought protector. ] Just like how Sho thought, because of his feelings for her.
