AquaEclipse chapter 1 . 8/24/2018

Solar, get me the time machine. I need to hug this pup before she's gone...*curls up into ball*
Guest chapter 1 . 1/27/2015
This was absoloutly beautiful please keep writing this was one of the best things I've ever read
ShrapnelGirl chapter 1 . 4/26/2014
You are quickly becoming my favourite author. Not a word is out of place in your stories and the characters are easy to sympathize with.
BritneySpearsfan chapter 1 . 7/12/2013
That was so sad. Well written I wrote a song about this dog a year ago. I can imagine this is how it went down.
QueenOfThePride chapter 1 . 5/26/2013
That was wonderfully written. I started crying ok? I loved the plot too though.
FlygonRider chapter 1 . 7/14/2012
This story is absolutly beautiful. The way you captured the emotion of this event and the people in it is wonderful.

Ivan's scene with Kudryavka in the snow is very tear-jearking. The fact that he couldn't let her play in the snow, and then trying to keep from crying...God.

It was also nice the way you potrayed Yazdovsky is also gut-wrenching. In the beginning he seems like a typical scientist, cold, almost emotionless. Then after Russia comes back, you see a softer side of him when he says he'll take Kudryavka home to play with his kids and, for just one night, be a normal dog.

I have read Laika, and it put me in tears. The last scene during her death was like the cherry on the angst cake. It was a great book.

Thanks for putting out such a beautiful work of art.
surxi25 chapter 1 . 11/16/2010
How sad. But sweet too. The way you wrote Ivan and Laika's bond, as well as her personality, was beautiful. A great tribute for a great dog :)
Aurora-Borealis Coyote chapter 1 . 9/23/2010
Oh! Poor Laika! ;; That story always makes me sad, for obvious reasons...and you made it sadder! Which is good, by the way, you told the story so well and Ivan's compassion for the poor little dog was wonderful. :)
Wednesday1990 chapter 1 . 7/30/2010
T~T

Ah, I don't know why I'm crying so much! To tell you the truth, I'm not even very fond of dogs, but... it was just too sad. Plus, sometimes the personality of the animal is so strong that it transcends the whole cat/dog/bird/guinea pig preference thing. Sometimes a good friend is just a good friend.

Anyway, well done, author-san. Very well done. Excuse me while I get some tissues!

this almost made me cry, great story
Peridot Tears chapter 1 . 12/11/2009
-Sighs- I read about her a few years ago, in one of those articles and stories they force on you in worksheets, thus making them very dull to read because they're making you do it. It still gets to me, how she died. Now I find that she most likely died painfully ;_;

I can really see a sort of bond between Kudryavka and Ivan, it seems very likely - considering Ivan being that mentally insane, lonely, but-can-be-sweet guy he is - and Kudryavka being the good-tempered dog she is...was...

And really, the scientists are shown pretty well, at least Yazdovsky - actually quite humane, dedicated to science, but not heartless.

Heart-touching.

WTv1.0 chapter 1 . 11/28/2009
What is it with you? Always, always, always you can make me cry. I almost never cry, but I just have to read one of your stories and bam, I start sobbing.

Not that that's a bad thing! I actually enjoy crying. Besides, no way could I ever give up reading your stories. XD

Beautifully done. Little Kudryavka wrenched her way into my heart with no trouble at all, sweet little thing that she is. Yazdovsky actually did too, by the end- taking her home was a lovely gesture, and I'd never heard about someone doing that for her. (I learn so much through your stories, it's almost ridiculous...)

On of my favorites. 3
kwaiiChan-chan chapter 1 . 11/18/2009
Poor puppy! I had to put my dog down recently because he was sick and the thought of an animal suffering just makes me so sad. Beautifully written though I did enjoy reading this
Hillside Dancing On chapter 1 . 11/8/2009
Aw, bless and curse you! Curse because I was so fired up to write a Russia and Laika fic of my own, bless because you did it so beautifully, better than anyone else could have ever, and because you paid such a perfect tribute to a good little dog who deserved so much better.
mothership chapter 1 . 11/8/2009
