Who knew I would ever have reason to say bless you Aro for your mercy? Though it brings deep sorrow to all the members of his family, I must agree with Edward's decision. How wonderful that Bella was there for him at the end, as he was for her!

It almost makes me angry that Alice had no visions of Bella living all those years alone, no husband, no children, nobody! What a damn waste of his sacrifice and their shared pain!

Sad story, but it was an amazing story!

This was so sad! Poor Bella living her whole life alone, no husband, no kids, no friends, but close enough to the wolves obviously, to keep Alice's visions away til she was at the hospital, which must have been out of Pack territory... Yeah Jake could have imprinted on someone else and left Bella, but Edward would have never known... So many regrets! Heart breaking!

I thought it would end this way but it was still sad to read. Thanks for sharing this story!

Quite an interesting scenario. It does make me wonder a couple of things, like how is Edward so careless to be there when she wakes up when he promised himself he wouldn't, and why Bella didn't seek him out when she found the stuff he had hidden in her room. But there are some very believable things, such as that Edward barely speaks anymore and isn't close with Alice and when he says "I felt... well, I felt."
